Recent Advances in Diversity-Oriented Synthesis of N-containing Organic Molecules Through Carbodiimide-based Reactions.

Carbodiimides (R-N=C=N-R) are well-known intermediates for the preparation of a variety of N-containing compounds, including heterocycles and amide linkages. Be-cause of their high reactivity and easy availability, carbodiimides have been broadly used as building blocks in the synthesis of structurally complex and diverse heterocyclic com-pounds in multi-component reactions (MCRs). Recent advances in diversity-oriented syn-thesis with carbodiimide-based MCRs are discussed in this minireview and are classified into different sections based on the key transformation involved in the reactions, such as heteroannulation and nucleophilic addition reactions which containing metal-catalyzed re-actions, multi-component reactions, and catalyst-free reactions subsections.

Effect of Fibrates on Lipoprotein-associated Phospholipase A2 Mass and Activity: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Controlled Clinical Trials.

Background: In vascular tissue, macrophages and inflammatory cells produce the enzyme lipoprotein- associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2). Treatment with fibrates decreases Lp-PLA2 levels in individuals with obesity and metabolic syndrome; however, these findings have not been fully clarified.

Objective: The goal of this study was to investigate the possible effects of fibrate therapy on Lp-PLA2 mass and activity through a meta-analysis of clinical trials.

This study examined and compared the toxic effects of mercury ions (Hg ions) on immobilization percentage, fatty acid profile, and oxidative stress of nauplii, individually (Hg) and simultaneously in the presence of 0.10 mg.

Background: The poultry industry faces challenges with the high cost and environmental impact of Soybean meal. Feather meal, a byproduct with low digestibility due to its keratin content, is a potential alternative. Recent biotechnological advances, including enzymatic and bacterial hydrolysis, have enhanced its digestibility and nutritional value.

Effect of induced astigmatism on vestibulo-ocular reflex.

Clinical Relevance: The vestibular-ocular reflex stabilises the retinal image and maintains balance during head movement. Astigmatism is one of the common refractive errors that can reduce the quality of visual inputs.

Identifying the factors influencing the quality of education from the perspective of nursing students: A qualitative study.

Background: Nursing education in Iran suffers from challenges such as inadequate training time, non-scientific methods, lack of facilities, and so on. Nursing students can better discuss these issues and identify variables affecting their education. Thus, this study sought to uncover factors affecting education quality from nursing students' perspectives.

Background: Learning and studying approaches are among the topics of great importance in medical sciences universities. Investigating the effect of yoga-based educational interventions on the volume and composition of breast milk in premature infant's mothers admitted to neonatal intensive care unit: A randomized controlled trial.

Background: This study examined the effects of yoga-based educational interventions on the volume and composition of breast milk in premature infants' mothers admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Materials And Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted on 78 primiparous mothers whose premature infants were less than 34 weeks and were hospitalized in the NICU of Ayatollah Rouhani Hospital from February 2021 to November 2022. Mothers were assigned to a control group and an experimental group, that is, yoga, using the block randomization method.

Background: Pre-hospital emergency medical services (PHEMS) training system is an integral part of the health system of any country. Therefore, knowing the status of graduates of this field can provide a new analysis for the policymakers of the National Health System. The purpose of this study was to analyze the status of PHEMS graduates in Iran.

Systematic review of ChatGPT accuracy and performance in Iran's medical licensing exams: A brief report.

ChatGPT has demonstrated significant potential in various aspects of medicine, including its performance on licensing examinations. In this study, we systematically investigated ChatGPT's performance in Iranian medical exams and assessed the quality of the included studies using a previously published assessment checklist. The study found that ChatGPT achieved an accuracy range of 32-72% on basic science exams, 34-68.

The effects of synbiotic supplementation along with non-surgical periodontal therapy in improving the metabolic status and inflammatory markers in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with periodontal disease: A double-blind randomized clinical trial.

Background: Diabetes mellitus and periodontitis are two common chronic diseases with bidirectional relationship. Considering the role of oxidative stress in the pathogenesis of these two diseases, the use of nutritional supplements with antioxidant properties can be useful. Observance of ethical codes of midwifery profession in students and graduates of department of midwifery and reproductive health, Isfahan University of Medical Sciences.

Background: Ethical performance is one of the main components of maternal and fetal care. Nurturing and training students who meet professional ethics in midwifery is of utmost importance. It is essential to assess the level of adherence of students and graduates to the codes of ethics in order to determine the extent of education needs in this regard.

Revision of institutional accreditation standards and processes in Iranian medical universities.

Background: The institutional accreditation standards were revised after the initial round of institutional accreditation and gaining experience while scrutinizing issues and complications. This research covers the steps needed to update and then compile the new standards, making the necessary changes in regulations, self-evaluation guides, external evaluation, ethics, and the required forms.

Background: People who receive social support in their marital life have a higher chance of experiencing more marital satisfaction. Pleasant healthy sexual relations and a couple's sexual assertiveness are of prime significance in such satisfaction. This study aimed to determine the relationship between social support and both sexual assertiveness and marital satisfaction in married women referring to health centers in Tabriz, Iran.

Alexithymia and attachment on mental health of people with multiple sclerosis: The mediating role of perceived social support and loneliness.

Background: Multiple sclerosis and its progressive relapsing-remitting nature for MS patients is challenging and significantly affects the mental health of people with MS. We examined the direct effects of alexithymia and attachment on mental health and the indirect effect of attachment, alexithymia, loneliness, and perceived social support on the mental health of people with MS.

Materials And Methods: Three hundred and forty-five diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) were deemed eligible for inclusion in the study and selected through the Iranian MS Association.

Therefore, the present study aimed to explore the perceptions and experiences of COVID-19 survivors diagnosed with anxiety and depression, along with one of their family members in Ahvaz.

Materials And Methods: A qualitative study was conducted on 50 COVID-19 survivors and their family members using an in-depth interview and a purposive sampling method in 2022.
