The rapid impact assessment matrix (RIAM) is a widely utilized tool for evaluating environmental impacts in municipal solid waste management. However, the traditional RIAM (T-RIAM) method includes ambiguities in its scoring classification, which can hinder decision-making accuracy. This study introduces a modified RIAM approach, enhancing classification precision by refining impact categories, making it particularly valuable for projects constrained by time and resources.

Roll bonding of aluminum/magnesium laminates combines the good corrosion resistance of aluminum alloys with the beneficial mechanical properties of magnesium alloys. We studied the microstructure of aluminum Al-1051/AZ31 magnesium laminates fabricated by the roll-bonding process. The fabricated laminates were investigated in the as-fabricated condition and after subsequent stress relief annealing treatment at temperatures ranging from 200 °C to 400 °C.

In addition to their advantages as promising methods for wastewater treatment, CWs exhibit poor performance in terms of N and P removal efficiency in the effluent of wastewater treatment plants. By focusing on this issue, we designed CWs integrated with a biochar-doped activated carbon cloth (ACC) electrode and alum sludge from water treatment plants as a substrate to achieve concomitant organic matter and nutrient removal efficiency. Compared with the use of one layer of alum sludge in CWs (CWs-C3) with ACC electrodes inserted in two layers, which uses one layer of alum sludge, a significant improvement in removal efficiency was achieved (96% for COD; 89% for TN; and 77% for TP).

Introduction: Patients with leukemia undergoing bone marrow aspiration (BMA) frequently experience considerable pain and anxiety, which may negatively impact physiological outcomes. Reflexology, a complementary therapeutic approach, has demonstrated effectiveness in reducing pain and anxiety across various medical procedures. This randomized clinical trial aimed to evaluate the impact of foot reflexology on pain, anxiety, and physiological indices in leukemia patients undergoing BMA.

Introduction: Motor learning, in addition to influencing the practice of physical activity, affects cognitive skills related to prediction and decision. One key principle in sports training is designing exercise programs that optimize cognitive-motor performance, based on the Challenge Point Framework (CPF). The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of different levels of work difficulty on cognitive-perceptual indicators in table tennis beginners.

Objective: Tinnitus and its pathophysiological mechanisms need more investigation because tinnitus may change the typical processing of sounds in the auditory system. Poor temporal resolution, which is not assessed with conventional subjective tinnitus evaluations, has been reported in some tinnitus sufferers.
Design: This study used a gap-in-noise paradigm to assess temporal resolution in tinnitus sufferers using both behavioural and electrophysiologic methods.

Background: Calretinin is a 29 kilodalton (KDa) calcium-binding protein that is expressed in normal and tumoral tissues. The expression of calretinin has been shown in the dental epithelium during odontogenesis and in different odontogenic cysts and tumors such as ameloblastoma. Since the epithelium of calcifying odontogenic cyst (COC) is similar to ameloblastoma and in both lesions, an arrangement of loose cells similar to stellate reticulum is seen, we aimed to investigate the comparative expression of calretinin in COC and ameloblastoma.
