Postoperative facial nerve (FN) dysfunction is associated with a significant impact on the quality of life of patients and can result in psychological stress and disorders such as depression and social isolation. Preoperative prediction of FN outcomes can play a critical role in vestibular schwannomas (VSs) patient care. Several studies have developed machine learning (ML)-based models in predicting FN outcomes following resection of VS.

Bone disorders have increased with increasing the human lifespan, and despite the tissue's ability to self-regeneration, in many congenital problems and hard fractures, bone grafting such as autograft, allograft, and biomaterials implantation through surgery is traditionally used. Because of the adverse effects of these methods, the emergence of injectable hydrogels without the need for surgery and causing more pain for the patient is stunning to develop a new pattern for hard tissue engineering. These materials are formed with various natural and synthetic polymers with a crosslinked network through various chemical methods such as click chemistry, Michael enhancement, Schiff's base and enzymatic reaction and physical interactions with high water absorption which can mimic the environment of cells.

L-asparaginase (asparagine amidohydrolase) contributes to 40% of the total enzyme demands worldwide and is one-third of the global requirement as an anti-cancerous drug in treating acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL), a type of leukemia. This protein breaks down L-asparagine into aspartic acid and ammonia those involved in ALL, rely on for growth and survival. Both non-recombinant and recombinant L-asparaginase can be produced by bacteria when a suitable substrate and method (solid-state fermentation (SSF) or submerged fermentation (SmF) which are techniques to grow microorganisms under controlled conditions), is provided.

The present work investigates the interfacial and atomic layer-dependent mechanical properties, SOC-entailing phonon band structure, and comprehensive electron-topological-elastic integration of ZrTe and NiTe. The anisotropy of Young's modulus, Poisson's ratio, and shear modulus are analyzed using density functional theory with the TB-mBJ approximation. NiTe has higher mechanical property values and greater anisotropy than ZrTe.

The skin serves as a critical barrier against external pathogens, and its wound healing is a complex biological process that requires careful management to ensure optimal tissue regeneration. Hydrogels, a class of hydrophilic polymers, have emerged as promising materials for wound dressings due to their biocompatibility, biodegradability, and ability to create a moist wound environment conducive to cell proliferation and migration. In this research, a hydrogel dressing containing cefdinir (Cef) was made from a combination of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and gelatin (Gel) by a physical crosslinking method, and their physicochemical, mechanical, and biological properties were investigated.
