Unlabelled: Recent advances in machine learning technologies and omics methodologies are revolutionizing dietary assessment by integrating phenotypical, clinical, and metabolic biomarkers, which are crucial for personalized precision nutrition. This investigation aims to evaluate the feasibility and efficacy of artificial intelligence tools, particularly machine learning (ML) methods, in analyzing these biomarkers to characterize food and nutrient intake and to predict dietary patterns.
Methods: We analyzed data from 138 subjects from the European Dietary Deal project through comprehensive examinations, lifestyle questionnaires, and fasting blood samples.

Chronic viral inflammation is associated with oxidative stress and changes in gut microbiota. The Mediterranean diet (MD), with recognized anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, modulates gut microorganisms, specifically on the interaction between extra virgin olive oil, a key component of the MD with well-documented antioxidant effects. This study investigated the influence of adherence to MD and antioxidant-rich foods (extra virgin olive oil) on biochemical, inflammatory, and microbiota profiles in patients with chronic inflammation defined as a prolonged inflammatory response due to immune dysregulation following the acute phase of the viral infection.

Classifying individuals based on metabotypes and lifestyle phenotypes using exploratory factor analyses, cluster definition, and machine-learning algorithms is promising for precision chronic disease prevention and management. This study analyzed data from the NUTRiMDEA online cohort (baseline: n = 17332 and 62 questions) to develop a clustering tool based on 32 accessible questions using machine-learning strategies. Participants ranged from 18 to over 70 years old, with 64.

The mechanisms for neuropathic pain amelioration by sigma-1 receptor inhibition are not fully understood. We studied genome-wide transcriptomic changes (RNAseq) in the dorsal root ganglia (DRG) from wild-type and sigma-1 receptor knockout mice prior to and following Spared Nerve Injury (SNI). In wildtype mice, most of the transcriptomic changes following SNI are related to the immune function or neurotransmission.

(1) Background: The dark triad refers to a personality configuration mainly characterized by the presence of Machiavellianism, narcissism, and psychopathy. Even though adolescence is a critical stage in the development of dark triad traits, to date, this construct has not been studied among adolescents, mainly due to the lack of a measurement instrument adapted to this population. (2) Methods: Using a sample of 1642 adolescents, an adaptation of the Short Dark Triad (SD3) is proposed for this population.

Translational research has documented the conjoint beneficial relationships between dietary and physical activity habits concerning weight maintenance. However, the precise interplay between diet and exercise impacting body composition remains unclear, challenging personalized interventions. This study aimed to explore potential interactions and effect modifications of these factors affecting the body mass index (BMI) within an online adult cohort.

The objective of this project was to categorize Mediterranean dwellers' health factors and design metabotypes to provide personalized well-being in order to develop professional implementation tools in addition to characterizing nutritional and lifestyle features in such populations. A two-phase observational study was conducted by the Pharmacists Council to identify Spanish nutritional and lifestyle characteristics.

The aims of the study were to analyze the effects of a 12-week maximal strength- training program on injury incidence, injury burden, and physical fitness in semi-professional soccer players and to compare the perceived exertion load and well-being state between injured and non-injured soccer players. Twenty semi-professional male soccer players participated in this study. Participants were randomly allocated to an experimental group (EG, = 10 players), who performed a maximal strength-training program, or to a control group (CG, = 10 players), who only performed their regular soccer training.

In the past two decades, the traditional nosology of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has been criticized for having insufficient discriminant validity. In line with current trends, in the present study, we combined a data-driven approach with the advantages of virtual reality aiming to identify novel behavioral profiles of ADHD based on ecological and performance-based measures of inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. One hundred and ten Spanish-speaking participants (6-16 years) with ADHD (medication-naïve, n = 57) and typically developing participants (n = 53) completed AULA, a continuous performance test embedded in virtual reality.

Big data is a combination of large structured, semistructured, and unstructured data collected from various sources that must be processed before using them in many analytical applications. Anomalies or inconsistencies in big data refer to the occurrences of some data that are in some way unusual and do not fit the general patterns. It is considered one of the major problems of big data.

The aim of this study was to determine the possibility of identifying a dental implant through the measurement of the apical width and the interspiral distance in a periapical radiograph after being subjected to high temperatures for certain lengths of time. In total, 11 fresh human anatomical models were selected, in which 137 implants were placed. Previous periapical radiographs were performed using parallelizers in each implant.

Evidence of alterations in emotion processing in maltreated youth has been hypothesized to reflect latent vulnerability for psychopathology. However, previous studies have not systematically examined the influence of psychopathology on the results. Here, we examined emotion recognition and learning in youth who differed in terms of presence vs.

For most people, body satisfaction is crucial to develop both a positive self-concept and self-esteem, and therefore, it can influence mental health and well-being. This idea has been tested with younger people, but no studies explore whether body image interventions are useful when people age. This research validates a specific program designed for older people (IMAGINA Specific Body Image Program).

Natural stoppers are a magnificent closure for the production of aging wines and unique wines, whose application is limited by the availability of raw materials and more specifically of cork sheets of different thickness and quality. The growing demand for quality wine bottle closures leads to the search for alternative stopper production. The two-piece stopper is an alternative since it uses non-usable plates in a conventional way for the production of quality caps.

Up to a third of patients with radiologically isolated syndrome (RIS) exhibit lower-than-expected cognitive performances in neuropsychological evaluations, but the relationship between cognitive impairment (CI) and quantitative magnetic resonance (MRI) measures has not been stablished. Furthermore, the prognostic role of CI in RIS for conversion to MS is currently unknown. We assessed 17 patients with RIS and 17 matched healthy controls (HC) with a neurophychological battery and a 3T MRI.

Down syndrome (DS) is the most common genetic cause of learning difficulties and intellectual disabilities. DS patients often present with several congenital defects and chronic diseases, including immunity disorders. Elevated levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin (IL)-6 and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) have been seen, which appear to vary with age.
