Fabrication of a mandibular implant-retained overdenture using an existing subperiosteal implant: A clinical report.

A 64-year-old edentulous woman with a mandibular fracture received a subperiosteal implant for fracture fixation and dental rehabilitation. However, the ball abutments were submerged by the soft tissue because they were too short. Therefore, we designed a connector to lengthen the attachment and achieve adequate stability and retention for the overdenture.

Developing odontoma arising from calcifying odontogenic cyst: A case report.

Developing odontoma is a rare mixed odontogenic tumor that can arise with other odontogenic lesions. The association of COC with ameloblastic fibro-odontoma is extremely rare. We report an extremely rare case of developing odontoma arising from a calcifying odontogenic cyst in a 17-year-old girl.

Dental rehabilitation of a cleft lip and palate patient by implant-supported overdenture: A case report.

Our patient was a 27-year-old male with a unilateral cleft lip and palate. Considering the mobility of bone segments around the cleft, an implant-supported removable overdenture (obturator) was fabricated, which improved the function and esthetics and led to patient satisfaction. The treatment results are still satisfactory after 5 years of follow-up.

A novel technique to retrieve cold-welded implant abutment: A case series.

Abutment fracture is a complication of dental implant treatment. When an abutment breaks, the remaining part should be retrieved without damaging the implant hex. In many cases, the implant-abutment connection is cold-welded, which makes it difficult to remove the remaining part.

Rehabilitation after severe maxillectomy using a magnetic obturator (a case report).

This report presents oral rehabilitation of a maxillectomy patient after cancer surgery by fabricating a prosthesis comprising of a denture and a custom-made magnetic retainer. Herein, we present a case of hemimaxillectomy due to squamous cell carcinoma, which was efficiently rehabilitated with implants. Patient's condition and his profile acceptably improved following rehabilitation.
