Objectives: An understanding of the tumor immune microenvironment is required to improve treatment, especially the selection of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs). In this study, we stratified the immunotypes of tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC) based on the results of comprehensive immune profiling.
Methods: We enrolled 87 therapy-naïve TSCC and 17 ICI-treated TSCC patients who underwent glossectomy without any other prior therapy.

Tissue engineering plays a pivotal role in the advancement of regenerative medicine. Thermoresponsive culture dishes, coated with specialized polymers that control cell adhesion through temperature fluctuations, enable the processing of cells into sheets for medical applications while maintaining their intact state. Cell sheets prepared using these culture dishes have been incorporated into several commercial pharmaceutical products.

In modern dentistry, prosthetic approaches such as implants and dentures have been developed as symptomatic solutions for tooth loss. However, the complete regeneration of teeth and periodontal tissue, an ultimate aspiration of humanity, remains unachieved. Recent advancements in fundamental scientific technologies, including single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, have significantly advanced our molecular understanding of tooth development, paving the way toward achieving this goal.

: Many reports on orthodontic miniscrew insertion focus on insertion conditions, such as technique, but not on the insertion environment, such as the operator's dominant hand. This study aimed to ascertain whether the operator's dominant hand affects laterality in the success rate of manual and motorized miniscrew insertion methods. : This study retrospectively investigated the medical records of 250 Japanese patients, aged ≥15 years, who underwent miniscrew implantation in the maxilla by right-handed operators with at least 3 years of experience.

Facial impression methods have been used to fabricate auricular prostheses; however, deformation due to the weight of the impression material remains. This study aimed to investigate the accuracy of auricular three-dimensional (3D) data obtained using a 3D optical extraoral scanner and an intraoral scanner compared with that of a conventional facial impression method. Six auricles were digitized using an extraoral scanner with and without a reference board around the auricle and an intraoral scanner.

Supramolecular interactions between polymers play a crucial role in the construction of three-dimensional polymer structures with unique physical and chemical properties. In this study, we have fabricated a novel supramolecular miktoarm star copolymer (μ-star) with a cobalt(II) phthalocyanine (CoPc) core using metal-ligand coordination. Axial coordination of the terminal pyridyl group of poly(methyl methacrylate) with the CoPc core of four-armed star-shaped polystyrene provided AB- and AB-type μ-stars through stepwise complexation.

Background & Aims: Hepatitis B virus (HBV)-DNA integration into the host genome contributes to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) development. KMT2B is the second most frequent locus of HBV-DNA integration in HCC; however, its role and function remain unclear. We aimed to clarify the impact of HBV-KMT2B integration in HCC development using a human genome-edited induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSCs) model.
