Heterogeneous cancers that lack strong driver mutations with high penetrance, such as head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), present unique challenges to understanding their aetiology due to the complex interactions between genetics and environmental factors. The interplay between lifestyle factors (such as poor oral hygiene, smoking, or alcohol consumption), the oral and gut microbiome, and host genetics appears particularly important in the context of HNSCC. The complex interplay between the gut microbiota and cancer treatment outcomes has also received increasing attention in recent years.

Purpose: The appearance of symptomatic tumor-related vaginal bleeding and pain in advanced incurable cancer patients with pelvic gynecological malignancies remains a therapeutic challenge in oncological treatment. The aim of our analysis was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of palliative hemostatic radiotherapy.
Methods: We retrospectively identified patients who had received palliative hemostatic radiotherapy (RT) at our institution between 2011 and 2023 and evaluated acute toxicity, local control, cessation of bleeding, and pain relief.

Purpose: The influence of "dose-averaged Linear Energy Transfer" (LETd) and dose rate on radiolytic oxygen consumption was investigated by monitoring the oxygen concentration during irradiation with electrons, protons, helium, carbon, and oxygen ions at UHDR and "Standard Dose Rates" (SDR).
Methods: Sealed "Bovine Serum Albumin" (BSA) 5% samples were exposed to 15 Gy of electrons and protons, and for the first time helium, carbon, and oxygen ions with LETd values of 1, 5.

Purpose: This guideline will discuss radiotherapeutic management of IDH-mutant grade 2 and grade 3 diffuse glioma, using the latest 2021 WHO (5th) classification of brain tumours focusing on: imaging modalities, tumour volume delineation, irradiation dose and fractionation.
Methods: The ESTRO Guidelines Committee, CNS subgroup, nominated 15 European experts who identified questions for this guideline. Four working groups were established addressing specific questions concerning imaging, target volume delineation, radiation techniques and fractionation.

Background: Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) is an emerging alternative to whole-brain radiotherapy (WBRT) for treating multiple brain metastases (BM), reducing toxicity and improving tumor control. Introduction: Target volume delineation is routinely performed in postoperative radiotherapy (RT) for breast cancer patients, but it is a time-consuming process. The aim of the present study was to validate the quality, clinical usability and institutional-specific implementation of different auto-segmentation tools into clinical routine.
Methods: Three different commercially available, artificial intelligence-, ESTRO-guideline-based segmentation models (M1-3) were applied to fifty consecutive reference patients who received postoperative local RT including regional nodal irradiation for breast cancer for the delineation of clinical target volumes: the residual breast, implant or chestwall, axilla levels 1 and 2, the infra- and supraclavicular regions, the interpectoral and internal mammary nodes.

Objective: To evaluate how intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) and diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI) histogram analysis contribute to assessing complete response (CR) to neoadjuvant therapy (NAT) in locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC).
Material And Methods: In this prospective study, participants with LARC, who underwent NAT and subsequent surgery, with adequate MR image quality, were enrolled from November 2021 to March 2023. Conventional MRI (T2WI and DWI), IVIM, and DKI were performed before NAT (pre-NAT) and within two weeks before surgery (post-NAT).

Background And Objective: Magnetic resonance guided radiotherapy (MRgRT) is an emerging technological innovation with more and more institutions gaining clinical experience in this new field of radiation oncology. The ability to better visualize both tumors and healthy tissues due to excellent soft tissue contrast combined with new possibilities regarding motion management and the capability of online adaptive radiotherapy might increase tumor control rates while potentially reducing the risk of radiation-induced toxicities. As conventional computed tomography (CT)-based image guidance methods are insufficient for adaptive workflows in abdominal tumors, MRgRT appears to be an optimal method for this tumor site.
