Nowadays intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) treatment is considered to play a promising role in the autoimmune disease therapy. Despite its significant beneficial effects, the precise mechanism of action needs further studies, as well as recommended dosage in the treatment of autoimmune dysautonomia. In some diseases, like Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) and chronic inflammatory demyelinating neuropathy (CIDP), IVIg has a strong evidence that allows to recommend and prescribe the medication, while in other diseases only single case studies are available that requires further research.

The article describes the clinical, radiological and pathological features of epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE) in 27 adult patients, mainly female. In all cases, with the exception of one, there was a benign course of the disease over many years with a tendency to stabilize growth, the morphological sign of which was the development of widespread sclerotic changes. With the help of immunohistochemical method, the endothelial nature of EHE cells and its relatively low proliferative potential were confirmed.

Fibromyalgia can be defined as a chronic pain condition, affecting the musculoskeletal system, etiology and pathophysiology of which is sufficiently understudied. Despite the fact that many authors consider this entity to be a manifestation of central sensitization, and not an autoimmune disease, the high prevalence of fibromyalgia in patients with post-COVID-19 conditions requires taking a fresh look at the causes of the disease development. During the patient examination, the authors identified a combination of symptoms that occurs so often, that they can be carefully described as a clinical pattern.

Chronic pain may affect 30-50% of the world's population and an important cause is small fiber neuropathy (SFN). Recent research suggests that autoimmune diseases may be one of the most common causes of small nerve fiber damage. This interest can be due to discovering the role of melatonin in numerous physiological processes. Classical monoamines are well-known modulators of sensorimotor neural networks. However, the role of trace amines and their receptors in sensorimotor function remains unexplored. Using trace amine-associated receptor 5 knockout (TAAR5-KO) mice, that express beta-galactosidase mapping its localization, we observed TAAR5 expression in the Purkinje cells of the cerebellum and the medial vestibular nucleus, suggesting that TAAR5 might be involved in the vestibular and motor control.

Ancient sublineage of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis Beijing genotype is endemic and prevalent in East Asia and rare in other world regions. Dissociation of a ligand isoniazid from a protein catalase was investigated using all-atom molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. Random acceleration MD (τ-RAMD) was used, in which a random artificial force applied to the ligand facilitates its dissociation. We have suggested a novel approach to extrapolate such obtained dissociation times to the zero-force limit assuming never before attempted universal exponential dependence of the bond strength on the applied force, allowing direct comparison with experimentally measured values.
