Neurotransmitters are increasingly recognized to play important roles in limiting anti-tumor immunity. N-acetyl-aspartyl-glutamate (NAAG) has been extensively studied in neurological disorders; however, its potential role in restricting anti-tumor immunity has not been investigated. Here, we demonstrated that NAAG or its synthetase RimK-like family member B (RIMKLB) significantly disrupted anti-tumor immunity by rewiring the myeloid progenitor differentiation of polymorphonuclear myeloid-derived suppressor cells (PMN-MDSCs), which in turn promoted breast cancer growth and metastasis.

Background: Recent studies have implicated a role for perioperative medications in determining patient outcomes after surgery for malignant tumours, including relapse and metastasis.

Methods: A combined approach spanned molecular, cellular, and organismal levels, including bioinformatics, immunohistochemical staining of clinical and animal samples, RNA sequencing of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) cells with Ingenuity Pathway Analysis, lentiviral-mediated gene expression modulation, in vitro cell experiments, and in vivo orthotopic tumour transplantation.

Results: We observed a significant correlation between increased kappa opioid receptor (KOP receptor) expression and better prognosis in patients with glioma.

Peripheral T-cell lymphomas with gamma-delta phenotype (GDTCL) are rare lymphoid malignancies. Beyond the well-recognized entities of extranodal lymphomas with gamma-delta phenotype as defined by the 5th edition of the WHO Classification of Hematolymphoid Tumors and 2022 International Consensus Classification, there is a group of poorly-defined gamma-delta T-cell lymphomas with predominantly nodal presentation, termed as nodal GDTCL (nGDTCL). We propose an incremental supervised contrastive learning model (iSCLM), an interpretable artificial intelligence framework integrating pretreatment CT scans and H&E-stained biopsy images, for improved decision-making regarding neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Aims: Activation of Protease Activated Receptor 2 (PAR2) has been shown to be involved in regulation of injury-related processes including inflammation, fibrosis and hypertrophy. In this study we will investigate the role of PAR2 in cardiac injury in a mouse model of hypertension using continuous infusion with angiotensin II.
