The outbreak of SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19, has significantly impacted the psychological and physical health of a wide range of individuals, including healthcare professionals (HCPs). This umbrella review aims provide a quantitative summary of meta-analyses that have investigated the prevalence of stress, anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbance among HCPs during the COVID-19 pandemic. An umbrella review of systematic reviews and meta-analyses reviews was conducted.

Anticancer therapy at end-of-life: A retrospective cohort study.

Background: A significant proportion of patients with incurable cancer receive systemic anticancer therapy (SACT) within their last 30 days of life (DOL). The treatment has questionable benefit, nevertheless is considered a quality indicator of end-of-life (EOL) care. This retrospective cohort study aims to investigate the rates and potential predictors of SACT and factors associated with SACT within the last 30 DOL.

The effectiveness of interprofessional peer-led teaching and learning for therapeutic radiography students and Speech and Language Therapy students.

Background: Therapeutic Radiographers (RT) and Speech and Language Therapists (SLT) work closely together in caring for people with head and neck cancer and need a strong understanding of each others' roles. Peer teaching has been shown to be one of the most effective methods of teaching; however, no studies to date, have involved RT and SLT students. This research aims to establish the effectiveness and perceptions of peer-led teaching between undergraduate RT and SLT students in Ulster University.

Older people's experiences of vulnerability in a trust-based welfare society affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The early coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak inflicted vulnerability on individuals and societies on a completely different scale than we have seen previously. The pandemic developed rapidly from 1 day to the next, and both society and individuals were put to the test. Older people's experiences of the early outbreak were no exception.

The effect of perceived organizational justice on workplace deviant behavior of new nurses: the role of emotional labor and psychological capital.

Background: New nurses are prone to workplace deviant behavior in the constrained hospital environment, which will not only directly affect the safety of patients, but also reduce the work efficiency of nurses and bring negative results to the hospital. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between perceived organizational justice, emotional labor, psychological capital, and workplace deviant behavior of new nurses.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was used in this study.

Therapeutic radiographer prescribing practices in the United Kingdom: Questionnaire survey.

Introduction: Non-medical professionals in the United Kingdom (UK) have been granted prescribing rights to improve patient care quality and cost-effectiveness. There is limited evidence on how therapeutic radiographer prescribers have impacted medicine management or patient services.

Methods: An online survey was conducted amongst non-medical prescribing therapeutic radiographers in the UK between 2019 and 2022.

The effect of work readiness on work well-being for newly graduated nurses: The mediating role of emotional labor and psychological capital.

Objective: To investigate the relationship between work readiness and work well-being for newly graduated nurses and the mediating role of emotional labor and psychological capital in this relationship.

Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in mainland China. A total of 478 newly graduated nurses completed the Work Readiness Scale, Emotional Labour Scale, Psychological Capital Questionnaire, and Work Well-being Scale.

The aim of the current literature review was to elucidate the prevailing utilization of the concepts 'patient-centeredness' and 'person-centeredness' within the perioperative period.

Building public engagement and access to palliative care and advance care planning: a qualitative study.

Background: Research evidence suggests that a lack of engagement with palliative care and advance care planning could be attributed to a lack of knowledge, presence of misconceptions and stigma within the general public. However, the importance of how death, dying and bereavement are viewed and experienced has been highlighted as an important aspect in enabling public health approaches to palliative care. Therefore, research which explores the public views on strategies to facilitate engagement with palliative care and advance care planning is required.

Evaluation of the quality and impact of online learning through the SAFE EUROPE webinars.

Introduction: The SAFE EUROPE project, a European-funded project, addressed educational gaps of Therapeutic Radiographers/Radiation Therapists (TR/RTTs) by offering a series of free webinars. This study aimed to assess the quality of these webinars and their impact on professional practice.

Methods: Data collection involved two methods: an automated feedback form administered after each webinar, supplemented by a survey disseminated through social media.

Methods: We collected surgical tumor and adjacent tissue specimens from 64 patients with esophagogastric junction adenocarcinoma and examined the expression levels of LINC00626 and KHSRP. qRT-PCR was used to detect the expressions of LINC00626 and KHSRP in 6 esophageal adenocarcinoma cell lines (OE-19, TE-7, Bic-1, Flo-1, SK-GT-4, and BE-3) and a normal esophageal epithelial cell line (HET-1A).

Performance of vertical flow constructed wetland for the treatment of effluent from a brassware industry in city of Fez, Morocco: a laboratory scale study.

The aim of this study is to examine and evaluate the performance of vertical flow constructed wetlands in treating brassware effluents using various plant species. Background: The level of nurses' job performance has always been of great concern, which not only represents the level of nursing service quality but is also closely related to patients' treatment and prognosis. The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between perceived organizational justice and job performance and to explore the mediating role of organizational climate and job embeddedness among young Chinese nurses.

Methods: A cross-sectional survey of 1136 young nurses was conducted between March and May 2023 using convenience sampling.

Consensus on the definition and attributes of person-centered teamwork: An e-Delphi study.

Background: Effective health care relies on person-centeredness and teamwork, which are known to improve outcomes. These two concepts have been defined individually, but we could not find a definition of the combined concept. A preliminary definition was developed through a concept analysis; however, consensus on the concept has not been reached.

A quality assurance study of the development of quality of care in outpatient clinics for treatment of addiction in Greenland.

Introduction: In 2016, a new addiction treatment service, Allorfik, was introduced in Greenland. Allorfik has, throughout the implementation and after, used auditing of patient records with feedback to develop the quality of care in treatment. Audits and feedback are routinely done in each treatment center.

Advanced Practice Nursing Titles and Roles in Cancer Care: A Scoping Review.

Objectives: Advanced practice nursing roles in cancer care are diverse and exist across the cancer care continuum. However, the titles used and the scope of practice differ across countries. This diversity is likely to be misleading to patients and influence nurses' contribution to health care.

Inequalities in access to information: The case of cancer patients treated at the prefecture of Meknes-Morocco "Qualitative Research in Sociology".

Background: If in the past the relationship between caregiver and patient was paternalistic based on the principle of protection, the advent of health democracy has made this relationship evolve to build it on the principles of equality and autonomy for the patient. However, this practice leaves something to be desired, given the forms of inequality in access to information that mark the relationship between caregiver and cancer patient.

Materials And Methods: The objective of this qualitative study is to present a sociological view of the process of shaping inequalities in access to information and its determinants.

Congenital Malformations in the Moroccan Surveillance System: Contribution to Prevalence Estimation.

Background: Congenital malformations (CMs) are a group of structural or functional anomalies present at birth. These anomalies result in a high rate of mortality, morbidity, and disability in children. CMs are a major public health problem and place a heavy burden on healthcare systems in both developed and developing countries including Morocco, which has had a CMs surveillance system in place since 2011.

A qualitative study of the implementation and organization of the national Greenlandic addiction treatment service.

Background: Alcohol and cannabis use constitutes the major public health problems in Greenland. Thus, it is important to assess if Allorfik, a new national outpatient addiction treatment service introduced in 2016, was implemented successfully and how it is perceived. Allorfik introduced local treatment centers offering a treatment methodology (motivational interviewing and cognitive therapy) new to addiction treatment in Greenland with limited evidence from Indigenous populations such as the Greenlandic.

Outpatient labor induction-Exploring future potential by assessing eligibility in a historical cohort.

Introduction: Labor induction rates have increased over the last decades, and in many high-income countries, more than one in four labors are induced. Outpatient management of labor induction has been suggested in low-risk pregnancies to improve women's birth experiences while also promoting a more efficient use of healthcare resources. The primary aim of this paper was to assess the proportion of women in a historical cohort that would have been eligible for outpatient labor induction with oral misoprostol.

Enteric parasites in free-living Mediterranean pond turtle (Mauremys leprosa leprosa) in contrasted areas (natural vs polluted) from central-western of Morocco.

The objective of this study is to assess the occurrence of intestinal parasites in Mediterranean pond turtle Mauremys leprosa leprosa collected from three contrasting environments in Morocco. Stool samples from 92 turtles were examined for parasite detection and enumeration. The identified intestinal parasites belong to helminths (oxyurids and ascarid) and protozoa (Entamoebidae).

Background: Postoperative pain management in lumbar spine surgery care remains a challenge. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of a person-centred postoperative pain management intervention programme on lumbar spine surgery patients on postoperative pain, shared decision-making, and satisfaction with postoperative pain management.

Methods: The study was performed with a controlled before-and-after interventional design in an orthopaedic unit at a university hospital.

Sex differences in cardiologic medication provision for adults with coronary heart disease: an analysis of health claims data from 2018 to 2020 in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.

Background: Coronary heart diseases (CHDs) have experienced the largest increase worldwide as a cause of death, accounting for 16% of all deaths. In Saxony-Anhalt, a federal state in Germany, both CHD morbidity and acute myocardial infarction mortality rates are particularly high. Several risk factors associated with CHDs have been studied in Saxony-Anhalt, but sex differences in service use and medication have not been investigated.

The Relationship Between Illness Uncertainty and Social Support Among Cancer Patients: A Meta-analysis.

Background: As a common psychological problem in cancer patients, illness uncertainty has attracted wide attention from scholars. Some studies have pointed out that the level of social support may affect illness uncertainty in patients with cancer, but the results of these studies remain controversial.
