Membranous Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) of Gram-negative bacteria are a secretion and delivery system that can disseminate bacterial products and interact with hosts and the environment. EVs of nonpathogenic bacteria deliver their contents by endocytosis into eukaryotic cells, however, no evidence exists for a fusion delivery mechanism. Combination of radiation therapy (RT) with immune checkpoint blockade can enhance systemic anti-tumor T cell responses. Here, using two mouse tumor models, we demonstrate that adding long-acting CD122-directed IL-2 complexes (IL-2c) to RT/anti-PD1 further increases tumor-specific CD8 T cell numbers. The highest increase (>50-fold) is found in the blood circulation.

The MetaSUB Consortium, founded in 2015, is a global consortium with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, scientists, bioinformaticians, engineers, and designers, with members from more than 100 countries across the globe. This network has continually collected samples from urban and rural sites including subways and transit systems, sewage systems, hospitals, and other environmental sampling. These collections have been ongoing since 2015 and have continued when possible, even throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
