Background: Delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) is a well-established phenomenon characterized by ultrastructural muscle damage that typically develops following unfamiliar or high-intensity exercise. DOMS manifests with a constellation of symptoms, including muscle tenderness, stiffness, edema, mechanical hyperalgesia, and a reduced range of joint motion. In recent years, the application of blood flow restriction (BFR) has garnered attention for its potential impact on DOMS.

Understanding the molecular signaling pathways of colorectal cancer (CRC) can be accepted as the first step in treatment strategy. Permanent mTOR signaling activation stimulates the CRC process via various biological processes. It supplies the survival of CRC stem cells, tumorigenesis, morbidity, and decreased response to drugs in CRC pathogenesis.

Triple-positive breast cancer (TPBC) is a type of breast cancer that overexpresses estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR), and human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2). Dysregulation of ER signaling has been implicated in the pathogenesis of breast cancer. ERα activation triggers the production of second messengers, including cAMP, leading to the activation of signals such as PI3K/AKT or Ras/MAPK.

Organic-inorganic hybrid nanoflowers (hNFs) have high stability, reusability, low production cost, and overcome substrate/product inhibition. Antimicrobial activity of various hNFs has been reported to overcome environmental microbial contaminations and infections, which are considered major public health problems. α-amylase, protease, and lipase are the most common industrial enzymes exerting antimicrobial activity; therefore, we synthesized triple enzyme (α-amylase, protease, and lipase)-embedded hNFs by using pancreatin to evaluate their antimicrobial activity in comparison with one of the most potent antimicrobial polymer chitosan.

Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the effects of pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT) and modified pilates exercises (MPE) in elderly women with stress urinary incontinence (SUI).
Study Design: Both randomized groups [Group 1: PFMT (n = 17), Group 2: MPE (n = 17)] performed their exercises twice a week for 12 weeks. Incontinence Severity Index (ISI), Urogenital Distress Inventory-Short Form (UDI-6) and Incontinence Impact Questionnaire-Short Form (IIQ-7) were used to assess SUI frequency and level of exposure from symptoms, electromyography (EMG) device was used to assess PFM activation response and a stabilizer was used to assess transversus abdominis (TrA) muscle strength.

Background: JAK/STAT signaling plays an important role in regulating cell proliferation. Reducing proliferation and inducing cell death with gene-specific inhibitors such as ruxolitinib, Receptor tyrosine kinases (RTK) inhibitor targeting JAK1/2, are therapeutic approaches. The use of nanoparticles can reduce the toxicity and side effects of drugs, as they act directly on cancer cells and can selectively increase drug accumulation in tumor cells.

Cancer remains a significant health challenge globally, requiring the development of targeted chemotherapeutics capable of specifically inhibiting cancer cell growth. Angiogenesis is one of the key features of tumor growth and metastasis and is, therefore, an important target for the treatment of many tumors. The vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) signaling pathway has proven to be a promising lead in anticancer therapy due to the central role it plays in tumor angiogenesis.

The viable but non-culturable (VBNC) state is considered a survival strategy employed by bacteria to endure stressful conditions, allowing them to stay alive. Bacteria in this state remain unnoticed in live cell counts as they cannot proliferate in standard culture media. VBNC cells pose a significant health risk because they retain their virulence and can revive when conditions normalize.
