Objectives: To investigate the function of PAQR3 in gastric cardia adenocarcinoma (GCA) and understand the possible mechanism of PAQR3 in regulating epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT).
Methods: We detected PAQR3 protein in 146 GCA tissues and paired normal adjacent tissues (PNTs) specimens using immunohistochemical analysis, and explored its clinical significance. The expression levels of PAQR3 protein in 20 GCA tissues, their paired PNTs, HGC27, SGC7901, and GES-1 cells were analyzed by Western blot.

The increasing clinical use of small-molecule kinase inhibitors has led to some side effects, the most common of which is cutaneous toxicity, as reflected by approximately 90% (57 of 62) of the FDA-approved SMKIs have reported treatment-related cutaneous toxicities. Since these cutaneous toxicities may have a crucial influence on the emotional, physical and psychosocial health of the patients, it is of great importance for doctors, patients, oncologists and interrelated researchers to be aware of the cutaneous side effects of these drugs in order to make the diagnosis accurate and the treatment appropriate.

With the development of precision medicine, therapies of targeting driver genes have significantly prolonged survival in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. Among them, BRAF gene mutation is relatively rare, and the traditional regimen follows the treatment plan of NSCLC without driver gene mutation, which is far from meeting the clinical needs. In recent years, targeted therapy for NSCLC patients with BRAF V600E mutations has shown good efficacy when we are still exploring the better targeted therapies for other BRAF-mutated subtypes.
