Soil aggregates organic matter (SAOM) is composed of free particulate organic matter (fPOM), intra-aggregate particulate organic matter (iPOM), and mineral-associated organic matter (mSOM), which are major antibiotic sorbents that play a significant role in the soil organic matter (SOM) turnover process. To date, the oxytetracycline (OTC) sorption and desorption behavior and mechanisms on SAOM have not been contrastively analyzed. SAOM organic components have been used to study scientific problems and to determine their influence on the fate and migration of OTC among the SOM turnover process.

Phenotype plasticity and evolution adaptations are the two main ways in which allow populations to deal with environmental changes, but the potential relationship between them remains controversial. Using a reciprocal transplant approach with cattle adapted to the Tibetan Plateau and adjacent lowlands, we aim to investigate the relative contributions of evolutionary processes and phenotypic plasticity in driving both phenotypic and transcriptomic changes under natural conditions. We observed that while numerous genetic transcriptomic changes were evident during the forward adaptation to highland environments, plastic changes predominantly facilitate the transformation of transcriptomes into a preferred state when Tibetan cattle are reintroduced to lowland habitats.

Background: Glucoregulatory protein 94 (Grp94) is necessary for the post-viral life cycle and plays a quality control role in viral proteins, but the role of Grp94 in regulating viral replication in host cells is not well known. Therefore, finding a compound that can regulate Grp94 will help us to study the mechanism of viral replication. Previously, we synthesized a coumarin pyrazoline derivative HCP1 that is an effective inhibitor of Grp94.

Particulate organic matter (POM) is a major antibiotic sorbent of the active soil organic carbon pool. Until now, the spatial heterogeneity of POM for ciprofloxacin (CFC) sorption at the microstructure scale has not been quantified. To our knowledge, this is the first study that combines a batch sorption experiment, NanoSIMS, and a C isotopic tracer to expound the distribution characteristics of CFC and the dominant sorption components of POM.

RNA interference (RNAi) is a major form of antiviral defense in host cells, and Ago2 and Dicer are the major proteins of RNAi. The Senecavirus A (SVA) is a reemerging virus, resulting in vesicular lesions in sows and a sharp decline in neonatal piglet production. In this study, CRISPR/Cas9 technology was used to knock out Ago2 and Dicer genes in BHK-21 cell lines used for SVA vaccine production.

Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) is the etiological agent of post-weaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS). The original prevalent genotype, PCV2a, has been replaced by genotypes 2b and 2d in the swine population worldwide. The Rep protein is critical for viral replication.

The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) plays an essential role in Ca concentration balance and protein biosynthesis. During infection, the virus needs to complete its life process with the help of ER. At the same time, ER also produces ER stress (ERS), which induces apoptosis to resist virus infection.

Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2), a ubiquitous pathogen that primary cause of postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS), had caused significant morbidity and mortality in swine populations with huge economic losses in the worldwide swine industry. Currently, looking for effective antiviral drugs for PCV2 infection remains an important works. In our study, CRISPR/Cas9 system was used to further detected the key sites of PCV2 replication.

Particulate organic matter (POM) is a fraction of organic matter with dissimilar properties in different soils. POM isolated from soils and sediments (wetland, oil waste field, farmlands and aquaculture pond sediment) was used to study its sorption behavior on the antibiotic oxytetracycline (OTC). Impacts of solution pH, ionic strength and temperature on the OTC sorption were studied.

Porcine circovirus (PCV) has two potential open reading frames, ORF1 and ORF2. ORF1 is predicted to encode a replication-associated protein (Rep) essential for replication of viral DNA. In some studies, PCV1 replicated more efficiently in PK-15 cells than PCV2 was elucidated.

Background: This study aimed at reseaching the immune effect of porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) DNA vaccine containing CpG motif on mice.
Methods: A total of 40 6-week-old female BALB/c mice were randomly divided into four groups which were immunized by 18CpG-pVAX1-ORF2, pVAX1-ORF2, pVAX1 and PBS, respectively, and immunized again 2 weeks later. All mice were challenged with 0.

Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) Rep protein and the splice variant Rep' protein impact genome replication. The Rep protein contains three potential N-glycosylation at positions 23-25aa (NPS), 256-258aa (NQT) and 286-288aa (NAT). Three double copy infectious clones with Rep protein N-glycosylation at positions mutations 23-25aa (DPS), 256-258aa (DQT) and 286-288aa (DAT) were constructed and their function in virus replication in PK-15 cells was investigated.

In 2010, an H4N6 avian influenza virus (AIV) was isolated and identified from healthy ducks in a waterfowl market in Shandong Province in the northern China. This virus was named A/duck/Shandong/1/2010 (H4N6) (DK/SD/1/2010 hereafter). The gene sequence of the virus was determined, and genetic and evolutionary analyses were conducted by combining related sequences in GenBank.

In order to determine the actual prevalence of avian influenza virus (AIV) and Newcastle disease virus (NDV) in ducks in Shandong province of China, extensive surveillance studies were carried out in the breeding ducks of an intensive farm from July 2007 to September 2008. Each month cloacal and tracheal swabs were taken from 30 randomly selected birds that appeared healthy. All of the swabs were negative for influenza A virus recovery, whereas 87.
