Background: Ileal pouch-anal anastomosis is most commonly performed by double-stapling technique after rectal transection with a linear stapler. Double-stapling is increasingly criticized for the uneven longer cuffs and potential weak points. A transanal rectal transection and single-stapled anastomosis may potentially overcome the limitations of double-stapling.

The platinum-free interval is the most important predictive factor of a response to subsequent lines of chemotherapy and the most important prognostic factor for progression-free and overall survival in patients with recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer. A nonplatinum regimen is generally considered the most appropriate approach when the disease recurs very early after the end of chemotherapy, whereas platinum-based chemotherapy is usually adopted when the platinum-free interval exceeds 12 months. However, the therapeutic management of patients with intermediate sensitivity (ie, when the relapse occurs between 6 and 12 months) remains debatable.

Introduction: A historic cohort study was conducted to evaluate satisfaction with childbirth of a macrosomic baby according to mode of delivery.
Material And Methods: All 559 nulliparous women who delivered a neonate weighing >4000 g between 2008 and 2012 were included. The degree of women's satisfaction with childbirth after elective cesarean, vaginal delivery or cesarean during labor was assessed using a five-level scale.
