Case: Pediatric Morel-Lavallée lesions are infrequent and may present in atypical locations. A 3-year-old boy presented with a nontender, mobile, cystic swelling on the medial aspect of his left distal thigh, 2 weeks after a road traffic accident. The diagnosis was confirmed using 3D ultrasonography.

Background: The location and size of necrotic lesions are important factors for collapse, The preserved angles (PAs) are divided into anterior preserved angle (APA) and lateral preserved angle (LPA), which could accurately measure the location of necrosis lesion. We used them to evaluate the effect of the location and size of necrotic lesions on collapse by finite element analysis, to offer a framework for evaluating the prognosis of osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) in clinical settings.
Methods: 3 left hip models were constructed based on CT data.

Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP) is a rare genetic illness marked by progressive heterotopic ossification of tendons, ligaments, fascia, and skeletal muscle, leading to immobility and reduced quality of life. Early recognition is critical to avoiding flare-ups often triggered by trivial trauma or medical interventions. This report presents two early-diagnosed FOP cases-one at 6 months, the other at 18 months-both with typical features and congenital great toe abnormalities.

Objectives: Vestibular rehabilitation is a recommended treatment after sport related concussion (SRC), but the optimal timing is not fully understood. This research examined the association between the timing of vestibular rehabilitation initiation and recovery time in adolescent patients with SRC.
Design: Retrospective cross-sectional.

Background: Osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) is a significant postoperative complication following femoral neck fractures (FNFs) in adolescents, that has garnered considerable attention from researchers. Despite this interest, the incidence of ONFH in adolescents post-FNF surgery has not been extensively evaluated. To contribute to the body of research, we performed a meta-analysis utilizing articles sourced from multiple databases, with an emphasis on the rate of ONFH occurrence in young adolescents following FNF surgery.

Distal-less homeobox 5 (Dlx5) has been reported to induce cell apoptosis. Melatonin, as a powerful antiapoptotic agent, has been widely reported.

Autophagy is closely associated with the onset and progression of steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head (SIONFH). SQSTM1/p62 is an important indicator of autophagic activity. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of SQSTM1/p62 in the development of SIONFH.

Introduction: In the treatment of paediatric supracondylar humerus fractures (SCHFs), Gartland Type 1 fractures are traditionally managed with in situ above elbow casting, while Type 2A fractures are treated with closed reduction and above elbow casting.
Surgical Technique: This technical note introduces a novel "figure of 8" cast technique for Type I and 2A fractures. The technique aims to maintain fracture reduction while reducing the risk of compartment syndrome by avoiding placement of cast material in the anterior elbow crease.

This study describes the outcome of supracondylar humerus fractures in children using crossed K-wires after closed or open reduction with the medial, lateral or bilateral approach. Patients treated between January 2000 and December 2019 were classified according to the Von Laer classification, complications were classified according to the Sink classification and clinical outcomes were classified according to modified Flynn criteria. In total, 364 patients with a mean age of 5.

: Numerous studies have demonstrated the safety and efficacy of intraarticular stem cell injections for treating osteoarthritic knee joints, reporting symptom reduction and pain relief within a few months of treatment. Here, we report the results of a 7-year follow-up after a single intraarticular injection of 0.5-1 × 10 autologous adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells in patients with OA (Kellgren-Lawrence grade 2 to 4).

Background: Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) with radiographic damage is more prevalent in men than in women. IL-17, which is mainly secreted from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), plays an important role in the development of AS. Its expression is different between male and female.

Introduction Muscle tightness is frequently identified as a potential precursor to muscle injuries. Reclaiming flexibility and enhancing range of motion (ROM) is crucial for preventing injuries and achieving improvements in performance. The present study examines the immediate effects of instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobilization (IASTM) and dry needling (DN) in reducing trigger point pain and calf tightness in long-distance runners.

Introduction: Ankylosing spondylitis is a spondyloarthropathy that commonly involves the axial skeleton with predilection to the sacro-iliac joints and spine. The disease frequently results in a smooth globular kyphotic deformity of the spine; however, a coronal plane scoliotic deformity is extremely rare. We present a unique case of scoliotic deformity in a patient diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis.

Lung cancer is the second most common form of cancer in the world for both men and women as well as the most common cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. The aim of this study is to summarize the radiological characteristics between primary lung adenocarcinoma subtypes and to correlate them with FDG uptake on PET-CT. This retrospective study included 102 patients with pathohistologically confirmed lung adenocarcinoma.

Background: Researchers have highlighted the importance of early access to concussion care within one week of injury in reducing recovery times. However, a persisting question for concussion researchers is "just how early is important?" The purpose of this study was to examine differences in recovery time as predicted by the number of days elapsed since injury (DSI) to initial evaluation among patients who had access to a specialty concussion clinic within seven days. We hypothesized that DSI group membership, even within seven days, would significantly predict risk of protracted recovery (i.

Background: Glucocorticoid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head (GIONFH) is a common bone and joint disease. There is currently a lack of effective treatment for GIONFH, and the disease progression may lead to total hip arthroplasty (THA). The exact mechanism of GIONFH pathogenesis remains unsettled, and emerging evidence indicates that the overactivation of osteoclasts plays a pivotal role in the occurrence and progression of this condition.

Background: Numerous surgical interventions are available for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (KOA). In recent years, knee-preserving surgery, specifically osteotomy, has gained significant attention from patients, particularly those who are young and physically active, as it not only effectively alleviates pain but also preserves bone integrity, thereby allowing for potential future joint replacement. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the global application trends of osteotomy for KOA and identify the current research hotspots.

Background: Intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) is a common musculoskeletal disorder that contributes significantly to disability and healthcare costs. Serum urate concentration has been implicated in the development of various musculoskeletal conditions. While previous observational studies have suggested an association between the two conditions, it might confound the effect of serum urate concentrations on IDD.
