Introduction: Tovertafel is a VR-based serious game for dementia care (SGDC) that aims to stimulate residents affected by dementia in nursing homes, promote social and cognitive skills and reduce apathy. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of using Tovertafel on apathy, social interaction and social activity of people with dementia (PWD) in long-term inpatient care in Germany.

Methods: In this monocentric intervention study, 25 residents of an inpatient long-term care facility with moderate or severe dementia had two weekly applications of Tovertafel over a period of 8 weeks.

Pre-licensure ethics nursing education does not adequately prepare and instill confidence in nurses to address ethical issues, and yet ethics education provides nurses with greater confidence to take moral action, which can mitigate the negative effects of moral distress. The end of treatment (EOT) is a significant time point along the childhood cancer treatment-survivorship continuum, and is recognized as a time when childhood cancer survivors (CCS) and their families experience significant vulnerability and stress. There is a call by families and healthcare professionals alike for standardized, comprehensive EOT services to successfully navigate through this transition period and better cope with posttreatment medical, physical, and social-emotional issues. A multidisciplinary team of pediatric oncology health care professionals developed and implemented a two-session psychoeducational program to address these EOT needs.

Nurse retention remains a pivotal issue, necessitating urgent strategies aimed at the recruitment and retention of highly qualified nurses. However, there is limited knowledge regarding the influence of nurses' personal and professional values, along with work environment, on predicting intent to leave an organization. Utilizing a secondary analysis approach, this study employed logistic regression to predict intent to leave among registered nurses (n = 671) using results from the Short Schwartz's Value Survey, the Nurses Professional Values Scale-3, and the Practice Environment Scale of the Nursing Work Index.
