Objective: To study the prevalence of Internet addiction (IA) in adolescents in Central Siberia and the association of IA with mental health problems.
Material And Methods: The study included 2950 adolescents (44.7% boys and 54.
Background: The regulatory effect of thyroid hormones on the metabolism of the immune system cells (activation of oxidative processes, separation of oxidative phosphorylation and increased protein synthesis) depends on their number. Changes in the activity of intracellular enzymes in Graves’ disease (GD) can determine the mechanisms of maintaining autoimmune inflammation in relapse of the disease. The exact role of NAD(P)-dependent dehydrogenases in the development and maintenance of immune response in GD is still poorly investigated.

The objective of the present work was to study the specific features of the microbiocenosis of the nasal mucous membrane in the patients presenting with acute bacterial rhinosinusitis (ABRS). We examined 86 patients with this condition at the age varying from 18 to 64 years. The control group consisted of practically healthy blood donors (n=156) registered at the Krasnoyarsk Regional Blood Centre #1; they were matched to the patients of the main study group in terms of the age and sex.

The content of primary and secondary products of membrane peroxidation, total cholesterol concentration, and relative microviscosity of erythrocyte membranes were measured in women with endometrial cancer and uterine leiomyoma. The content of conjugated dienes in erythrocytes was highest in female patients with malignant tumors of the endometrium. The relative microviscosity of erythrocyte membranes in patients with uterine leiomyoma and endometrial cancer was elevated in the zone of lipid--lipid and protein--lipid contacts.

The levels of blood lymphocyte NAD(P)-dependent dehydrogenases were investigated in children and teenagers with different duration of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM). The level of some NAD(P)-dependent dehydrogenases changed proportionally in dependence of IDDM duration and insulin therapy did not restore their activities to the normal level. It is suggested that these changes may reflect decrease of energy metabolism and plastic processes in blood lymphocytes from diabetic children and teenagers reflecting.
