BPM1 interacts with components of the DDR complex and stimulates DNA methylation at CHH sites, suggesting its involvement in the RdDM methylation pathway. The best-known function of MATH-BTB proteins, including Arabidopsis BPM proteins, is their role as substrate-specific adaptors of CUL3-based E3 ligases in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. Praziquantel (PZQ) is a biopharmaceutical classification system (BCS) class II anthelmintic drug characterized by poor solubility and a bitter taste, both of which can be addressed by inclusion complexation with cyclodextrins (CD). In this work, a comprehensive investigation of praziquantel/cyclodextrin (PZQ/CD) complexes was conducted by means of UV-vis spectroscopy, spectrofluorimetry, NMR spectroscopy, liquid chromatography-high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS/MS), and molecular modeling. Phase solubility studies revealed that among four CDs tested, the randomly methylated β-CD (RMβCD) and the sulfobutylether sodium salt β-CD (SBEβCD) resulted in the highest increase in PZQ solubility (approximately 16-fold).

Cas3 is a ssDNA-targeting nuclease-helicase essential for class 1 prokaryotic CRISPR immunity systems, which has been utilized for genome editing in human cells. Cas3-DNA crystal structures show that ssDNA follows a pathway from helicase domains into a HD-nuclease active site, requiring protein conformational flexibility during DNA translocation. We consider a man-in-the-middle attack on two-way quantum key distribution ping-pong and LM05 protocols in which an eavesdropper copies all messages in the message mode, while being undetectable in the mode. Under the attack there is therefore no disturbance in the message mode and the mutual information between the sender and the receiver is always constant and equal to one and messages copied by the eavesdropper are always genuine. An attack can only be detected in the control mode but the level of detection at which the protocol should be aborted is not defined.

Nowadays due to the concern with the environmental impact of analytical techniques and in order to reduce the ecological footprint there is a tendency to use more efficient and faster procedures that use a smaller amount of organic solvents. Polyphenols have been widely studied in plant-based matrices due to their wide and potent biological properties; however there are no standardized procedures both for sample preparation and analysis of these compounds. Last step of electron transport from ferredoxin to NADP+ in photosynthesis light reactions catalyses ferredoxin: NADP oxidoreductase (FNR). FNR is present as soluble protein in stroma, but also bound to the protein complexes on the membrane with thylakoid rhodanase-like protein (TROL) and translocon on the inner envelope chloroplast membrane (Tic62), which have identical C terminal FNR binding domain [1,2]. During the electron transport, FNR anchored by TROL protein transfers electrons on NADP+ and forms NADPH which is then used in Calvin cycle as reducing agent.

Lipids, phospholipids and cholesterol in particular, are the predominant components of the plasma membrane, wherein multidrug efflux transporters of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) superfamily reside as integral pump proteins. In the current review, we discuss how lipids potently modulate the expression and activity of these multidrug efflux pumps, contributing to the development of the multidrug resistance (MDR) phenotype in cancer. The molecular mechanisms underlying this modulation of the MDR phenotype are pleiotropic.
