Small, hormone receptor-positive (HR+), HER2-negative (HER2-), lymph node-negative breast cancers are associated with relatively low rates of disease recurrence and have therefore been underrepresented in clinical trials assessing the effects of systemic therapy. Consequently, it remains uncertain if this patient population derives benefit from these treatments. Background: Remote patient monitoring (RPM) of symptoms using electronic patient reported outcomes (ePROs) has been shown to reduce symptom burden and hospitalizations, increase dose intensity and improve quality of life of patients during systemic therapy being recommended by international guidelines in routine oncology practice. However, implementation in routine care has been slow and faces several challenges. Purpose Of Review: The significantly improved survivorship in Hodgkin lymphoma is fraught with challenges, including persistent symptoms, secondary health complications, and socio-professional obstacles. This review highlights the need for comprehensive survivorship care plans that include detection of relapse, assessment of long-term side effects, screening for secondary cancers, psychological support, and assistance with socio-professional integration.

Recent Findings: Cardiovascular diseases, secondary malignancies and other associated risks remains an important problem related to the effective treatment of patients with Hodgkin lymphoma.

Cross-sectional imaging plays a crucial role in the detection, diagnosis, staging, and resectability assessment of intra- and extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. Despite this vital function, there is a lack of standardized CT and MRI protocol recommendations for imaging cholangiocarcinoma, with substantial differences in image acquisition across institutions and vendor platforms. Tumor-associated macrophages are key components of the tumor microenvironment and play important roles in the progression of head and neck cancer, leading to the development of effective strategies targeting immune cells in tumors. Our study demonstrated the prognostic potential of a new scoring system (Macroscore) based on the combination of the ratio and the sum of the high and low densities of M1 (CD80+) and M2 (CD163+) macrophages in a series of head and neck cancer patients, including a training population ( = 54) and a validation population ( = 19). Interestingly, the Macroscore outperformed TNM criteria and p16 status, showing a significant association with poor patient prognosis, and demonstrated significant predictive value for overall survival.

This study aims to describe end-of-life (EOL) care in older patients with cancer and investigate the association between geriatric assessment (GA) results and specialized palliative care (SPC) use. Older patients with a new cancer diagnosis (2009-2015) originally included in a previous multicentric study were selected if they died before the end of follow-up (2019). At the time of cancer diagnosis, patients underwent geriatric screening with Geriatric 8 (G8) followed by GA in case of a G8 score ≤14/17.

Ambiguous reports in the literature exist regarding the use and usefulness of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues in mass spectrometry imaging (MSI). Especially for the study of endogenous (non-tryptic) peptides, several studies have concluded that MSI on archived FFPE tissue bank samples is virtually impossible. We here illustrate that by employing a variant of MSI, called mass spectrometry histochemistry (MSHC), biomolecular tissue localization data are obtained that unequivocally comprise endogenous peptides.

Background: Near infrared fluorescence imaging with Indocyanine Green (ICG) is now used for the imaging of lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels. In this work, we investigated the impact of its pre-operative and peri-operative administration on our ability to detect axillary lymphatic loss after breast cancer surgery.
