Recently, adoption of novel drugs for systemic treatment of metastatic prostate cancer has led to a striking improvement of response rate and survival in both hormone-sensitive and castration-resistant disease. In most cases, prostate cancer essentially depends on androgen receptor signaling axis, even in castration-resistant setting, and hence may be targeted by second generation hormonal therapy. However, a subset of patients bears androgen-independent cancer biology with a short-term response to hormonal treatment, early and extensive visceral metastases, low PSA levels and poor outcomes.

Biphenotypic sinonasal sarcoma (BSNS) is a locally aggressive tumor occurring in the sinonasal region. It harbors both myogenic and neural differentiation and is characterized by PAX3 rearrangement with MAML3 as the most frequent fusion partner, but the partner of PAX3 remains unidentified in a subset of cases. About 70 cases have been reported so far.

Aims: We applied the 2017 World Health Organization (WHO) classification criteria to categorise a series of 64 primary cutaneous large B-cell lymphomas (PCLBCLs), containing a majority (≥80%) of large cells and a proliferative rate of ≥40%, raising the problem of the differential diagnosis between PCLBCL, leg type (PCLBCL-LT) and primary cutaneous follicle centre lymphoma, large cell (PCFCL-LC). The aims were to determine the reproducibility and prognostic relevance of the 2017 WHO criteria.
Methods And Results: Morphology and phenotype identified 32 PCLBCLs-LT and 25 PCFCLs-LC; seven cases (11%) remained unclassified.

Intraperitoneal drug delivery in first-line treatment of advanced ovarian cancer have been widely studied. After a complete primary surgery or with residual disease<1cm, intraperitoneal chemotherapy significantly improves disease-free and overall survival (NP1), but with more local and systemic toxicities. Whenever this therapeutic option is under consideration, the ratio efficacy/toxicity must be carefully discussed.

Background: The ZOHé study was a prospective, non-interventional, multicentre study in France to assess the use of biosimilar filgrastim Zarzio® (Sandoz filgrastim) in routine clinical practice in patients at risk of neutropenia-inducing chemotherapy (CT).
Methods: Patients ≥ 18 years undergoing CT for a malignant disease and with a first prescription for Zarzio® were enrolled in two cohorts according to tumour type: solid tumour or haematological malignancy; results from the solid tumour cohort are reported here. Analyses primarily described the prescription and use of Zarzio® in current practice, and also included identification of factors linked to prescription for primary prophylaxis and comparison of Zarzio® use in relation to European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) guidelines.

Targeted therapies and immunotherapies are associated with a wide range of dermatologic adverse events (dAEs) resulting from common signaling pathways involved in malignant behavior and normal homeostatic functions of the epidermis and dermis. Dermatologic toxicities include damage to the skin, oral mucosa, hair, and nails. Acneiform rash is the most common dAE, observed in 25-85% of patients treated by epidermal growth factor receptor and mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase inhibitors.

Recently, a plethora of life-prolonging cytotoxic, next-generation hormonal, immunotherapeutical as well as radionuclide therapies has emerged as a standard care for metastasized castration-resistant prostate cancer. Being strikingly effective in cancer control, these novel therapies might in fact exert a beneficial impact on skeletal events. Therefore, combining anticancer drugs with osteoprotective agents might lead to additional clinical advantage but must be weighed against simultaneously exposing patients to serious toxicities.

The function of soft tissues is intricately linked to their connections with the other systems of the body such as circulation, nervous system, and immune system. The presence of resident macrophages in tissues provides a means to control tissue homeostasis and also a way to react to the physical/biological insults and tissue damage. Thus, incorporation of resident macrophage like phenotype-controlled macrophages in engineered tissues can improve their fidelity as model tissues and also improve their rate of integration and facilitate the resolution of inflammation for regenerative medicine applications.

A narrow therapeutic index and more and more patients with long survival characterize primary and second brain tumors. Image-guided radiotherapy can increase accuracy of the patient's position during a course of intracranial irradiation thanks to a direct or indirect visualization of targets volumes. Treatment reproducibility and organ at risk-sparing are the primary issues, particularly with the development of stereotactic radiotherapy and protontherapy.

Importance: Several trials demonstrated the impact of novel agent-based maintenance in newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM), but there is no current evidence demonstrating the superiority of one regimen over the other, owing to the lack of direct/indirect comparisons.
Objective: To analyze and compare the effectiveness of different maintenance regimens in NDMM via a network meta-analysis.
Data Sources: We performed 2 independent searches in PubMed and Cochrane databases, and then we identified all the records registered after 1999 and on or before November 20, 2017.
