Background And Objective: Olfactory disorders in COVID-19 impact quality of life and may lead to psychological impairments. Prevalence ranges from 8 to 85%, persisting in about 30% of cases. This study aimed to evaluate the 6-month post-COVID-19 impact on quality of life, hedonic experiences, anxiety and depression due to olfactory disorders.

[The « patient casting »: a key decision in orthognathic surgery].

Introduction: The surgical orthodontic patient is a patient whose management is specific. The success of this protocol goes beyond of the right indication and the control of the pre-surgical orthodontic preparation of the treatment. The coordination revolves around a multidisciplinary team, namely an orthodontist, a maxillofacial surgeon, a physiotherapist, a speech therapist, a general practitioner, etc.

Front-block technical note: dental and bone borne distractors.

Orthognathic surgical technique of segmental osteogenesis distraction of the anterior mandible alveolar process (front-block) was introduced by Triaca and al. in 2001 [2] including lower incisors. The technical note describes distraction process used both, dental-borne distractor and bone-borne distractor.

Spontaneous intra-parotid pseudoaneurysm of the external carotid artery.

Introduction: The authors report a case of spontaneous intra-parotid pseudoaneurysm of the external carotid artery, never previously described in the literature.

Case Report: A 59-year-old woman presented with a palpable, non-pulsatile, 2 cm retromandibular left parotid mass with no triggering factors. This mass was considered to be a mixed tumour, although it did not present the typical features on MRI.

Laser endoscopic microsurgery of laryngeal cancers.

Introduction The aim of our study is to present our experience in treating laryngeal cancers with endoscopic CO2 laser surgery. Experimental Design: Patients provided informed consent for tumor biomarker analyses and, when eligible, were further enrolled in the therapeutic CARISSA multicenter randomized phase II trial of postoperative irradiation with cisplatin + gefitinib (GORTEC 2004-02-NCT00169221).
