Background: Due to significant gaps in knowledge around women's health, Congress commissioned the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM) to conduct a consensus study on funding allocation, workforce needs, and priority research areas for the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Objectives: This manuscript summarizes the key points of the new NASEM report on women's health research for NIH, presents the relevance and importance for nursing research, and briefly discusses the need for increased representation of nurse scientists on NASEM panels.
Methods: Beginning in the Fall of 2023, a multidisciplinary panel of 17 experts was convened by NASEM to address gaps in women's health research at NIH.

Introduction: Artificial intelligence (AI) is being developed for mental healthcare, but patients' perspectives on its use are unknown. This study examined differences in attitudes towards AI being used in mental healthcare by history of mental illness, current mental health status, demographic characteristics, and social determinants of health.
Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional survey of an online sample of 500 adults asking about general perspectives, comfort with AI, specific concerns, explainability and transparency, responsibility and trust, and the importance of relevant bioethical constructs.

Methods: A 3-month focused ethnographic study, including semi-participatory observations and in-depth interviews, was conducted in a nursing home in Suzhou, China, from June to August 2022.

Objective: This review aimed to summarize contemporary literature on pediatric caregivers' experiences with and perspectives of e-communication with their child's health care team to identify how e-communication has been optimized to improve patient care.
Methods: A scoping review following the Arksey and O'Malley methodological framework searched PubMed, CINAHL, Embase, and Web of Science using terms such as "Electronic Health Records" and "Communication" from 2013 to 2023 that discussed caregiver experiences and perspectives of e-communication with their child's health care provider.

Purpose: This article examines teaching the consequences of harm and error to multisite prelicensure baccalaureate, second-degree baccalaureate, and graduate nursing students utilizing the RaDonda Vaught Trial as an exemplar. The Jigsaw Technique (JT) was the chosen learning strategy to empower students with knowledge and understanding through the lens of terms acquired throughout existing concept-based nursing curriculum.
Results: Nursing students evaluated the approach to this activity using both quantitative and qualitative feedback.

Background: Labor intervention is intended to prevent perinatal morbidity and mortality. Labor durations traditionally defined as 'dystocia' drive primary cesarean birth rates, yet there is mixed evidence about the association between labor duration and poor neonatal outcomes. There is a wide variation in the curricular emphasis and implementation nationally across programs for teaching quality improvement (QI) in family nurse practitioner (FNP) programs. This variation among curriculum plans often leaves NP graduates unsure as to how to identify and effect change within their organizations. We aimed to evaluate the use and titration of GDMT at discharge and over a 12-month period after hospital discharge and to identify factors associated with GDMT use and titration.
Methods And Results: The CONNECT-HF (Care Optimization Through Patient and Hospital Engagement Clinical Trial for Heart Failure) trial evaluated the effect of a hospital and postdischarge quality improvement intervention in participants with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction.
