Robust Fluorine-Functionalized {Ln}-Organic Frameworks for Excellent Catalytic Performance on Cycloaddition of CO with Epoxides and Knoevenagel Condensation.

ACS Appl Mater Interfaces

July 2023

Shanxi Key Laboratory of Advanced Carbon Based Electrode Materials, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, North University of China, Taiyuan 030051, P. R. China.

Lanthanide-organic frameworks (LnOFs) are a class of promising catalysts on a large number of organic reactions because of the higher coordination number of Ln ions, inspired by which exploratory preparation of cluster-based LnOFs was carried out by us. Herein, the exquisite combination of spindly [Ln(μ-OH)(CO)(HO)] clusters (abbreviated as {Ln}) and fluorine-functionalized tetratopic ligand of 2',3'-difluoro-[-terphenyl]-3,3″,5,5″-tetracarboxylic acid (F-HPTTA) engendered two highly robust isomorphic nanoporous frameworks of {[Ln(FPTTA)(μ-OH)(HO)](NO)} (, = and ). compounds are rarely reported {Ln}-based 3D frameworks with nano-caged voids (19 Å × 17 Å), which are shaped by twelve [Ln(μ-OH)(COO)] clusters and eight completely deprotonated F-PTTA ligands.

October 2022

Key Laboratory of Dairy Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Ministry of Education, College of Food Science and Engineering, Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, Hohhot 010018, China.

Bactrian camel () meat, as a product of national geographical indication, is mainly produced in the northwest regions of China. This study systematically evaluated the edible quality, nutritional quality, and carcinogenic substances of Bactrian camel meat using different heating times in four thermal processing methods (steaming, boiling, frying, and microwaving). Compared with the control group (uncooked), the thermal processing of meat demonstrated lower redness and moisture content; higher shear force values and protein, fat, and ash contents; and sharply increased the levels of amino acids and fatty acids.

Metal-Ion-Doped Manganese Halide Hybrids with Tunable Emission for Advanced Anti-Counterfeiting.

Nanomaterials (Basel)

June 2023

Tianjin Key Laboratory of Electronic Materials and Devices, School of Electronics and Information Engineeing, Hebei University of Technology, 5340 Xiping Road, Tianjin 300401, China.

Stimuli-responsive luminescent materials have received great attention for their potential application in anti-counterfeiting and information encryption. Manganese halide hybrids have been considered an efficient stimuli-responsive luminescent material due to their low price and adjustable photoluminescence (PL). However, the photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of PEAMnBr is relatively low.

Rumination in cattle is closely related to their health, which makes the automatic monitoring of rumination an important part of smart pasture operations. However, manual monitoring of cattle rumination is laborious and wearable sensors are often harmful to animals. Thus, we propose a computer vision-based method to automatically identify multi-object cattle rumination, and to calculate the rumination time and number of chews for each cow.

This study aimed to investigate the molecular composition of a viable but nonculturable (VBNC) state of a probiotic strain, Zhang ( Zhang), using single-cell Raman spectroscopy (SCRS). Fluorescent microcopy with live/dead cell staining (propidium iodide and SYTO 9), plate counting, and scanning electron microscopy were used in combination to observe bacteria in an induced VBNC state. We induced the VBNC state by incubating the cells in de Man, Rogosa, and Sharpe broth (MRS) at 4 °C.

Study on the preparation and mechanical properties of purple ceramics.

Sci Rep

May 2023

Inner Mongolia Key Laboratory of Advanced Ceramics and Device, School of Materials and Metallurgy, Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology, Baotou, 014010, Inner Mongolia, China.

This paper aims at preparing a smart wearable purple ceramic that meet the color requirements of purple smart wear in the market after using zirconate neodymium as a chromogenic agent. However, the mechanical performance of zirconate neodymium purple ceramic is not satisfactory, especially it has an extremely low fracture toughness. To solve this, a 3 mol% yttria-stabilized zirconia (3YSZ) is added to zirconate neodymium in the preparation of multiphase ceramics to improve its mechanical properties.

We investigate the dynamics of Landau-Zener (LZ) transitions in an anisotropic, dissipative three-level LZ model (3-LZM) using the numerically accurate multiple Davydov D2Ansatz in the framework of the time-dependent variational principle. It is demonstrated that a non-monotonic relationship exists between the Landau-Zener transition probability and the phonon coupling strength when the 3-LZM is driven by a linear external field. Under the influence of a periodic driving field, phonon coupling may induce peaks in contour plots of the transition probability when the magnitude of the system anisotropy matches the phonon frequency.

Construction of Inorganic-Rich Cathode Electrolyte Interphase on Co-Free Cathodes.

ACS Appl Mater Interfaces

June 2023

Key Laboratory of Organic Optoelectronics and Molecular Engineering, Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University, 100084 Beijing, China.

Lithium-rich layered oxides (LRLOs), with the chemical formula of LiMnO·(1 - )LiMO, delivering higher specific discharge capacity, are potential cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries. However, the dissolution of transition metal ions and the instability of the cathode-electrolyte interphase (CEI) hinder the commercial application of LRLOs. Herein, a simple and affordable method is developed for the construction of a robust CEI layer by quenching a kind of cobalt-free LRLO, LiNiFeMnO (denoted as NFM), in 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl-2,2,2-trifluoroethyl ether solvent.

Enhancement of the Josephson Current in a Quantum Dot Connected to Majorana Nanowires.

Nanomaterials (Basel)

April 2023

School of Electronic and Information Engineering, UEST of China, Zhongshan Institute, Zhongshan 528400, China.

We investigate the behavior of the Josephson current in a system composed of a quantum dot (QD) sandwiched between two nanowires by using the nonequilibrium Green's function technique. We consider that the nanowires are in proximity to s-wave superconducror substrates, and Majorana bound states (MBSs) are induced at their ends. It is also assumed that the two nanowires are not aligned in the same orientation, but form a bent angle with respect to each other.

Developing materials with excellent properties has become the norm in the field of basic research, prompting us to explore highly robust hybrid materials based on electron-rich POMs and electron-deficient MOFs. Herein, a -[MoO]-based hybrid material of [Cu(BPPP)]{-[MoO]} (NUC-62) with excellent physicochemical stability was self-assembled under acidic solvothermal conditions from NaMoO and CuCl in the presence of a designed chelated ligand of 1,3-bis(3-(2-pyridyl)pyrazol-1-yl)propane (BPPP), which has sufficient coordination sites, spatial self-regulation and great deformation ability. In NUC-62, each of two tetra-coordinated Cu ions and two BPPP are unified into one dinuclear unit serving as the cation, which is interactively linked to -[MoO] anions rich hydrogen bonds of C-H⋯O.
