Tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV), a zoonotic pathogen, can cause severe neurological complications and fatal outcomes in humans. Early diagnosis of TBEV infection is crucial for clinical practice. Although serological assays are frequently employed for detection, the lack of antibodies in the early stages of infection and the cross-reactivity of antibodies limit their efficacy.

Background: Although observational studies suggest a correlation between psoriasis (PS) and cancers, it is still unknown whether this association can replace causal relationships due to the limitations of observational studies. Therefore, we conducted a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis to evaluate the causal relationship between PS and cancers.
Methods: PS genetic summary data were obtained from two genome-wide association studies (GWAS).

Tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV) is a common virus in Europe and Asia, causing around 10,000 to 10,500 infections annually. It affects the central nervous system and poses threats to public health. However, the exact molecular mechanisms of TBE pathogenesis are not yet fully understood due to the complex interactions between the virus and its host.

The prevalence of pelvic organ prolapse (POP) has been steadily increasing over the years, rendering it a pressing global health concern that significantly impacts women's physical and mental wellbeing as well as their overall quality of life. With the advancement of three-dimensional reconstruction and computer simulation techniques for pelvic floor structures, research on POP has progressively shifted toward a biomechanical focus. Finite element (FE) analysis is an established tool to analyze the biomechanics of complex systems.

Oesophageal squamous-cell carcinoma (ESCC) is a malignant tumor of the digestive system with a poor prognosis. Recent studies have shown the promoting effect of hsa_circ_0058063 (circ_0058063) on ESCC, but the potential regulatory mechanisms of circ_0058063 in ESCC remain largely unclear. The levels of circ_0058063, microRNA-4319 (miR-4319) and mRNA of thrombospondin-1 (THBS1) were indicated by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction in ESCC tissues and cells.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the most common human digestive malignancy with a poor prognosis; the pathophysiology of colon cancer involves multiple linkages of regulatory networks. Recently, thrombospondin 2 (THBS2) has been extensively studied for its role in cancer progression. In this study, we evaluated the expression of THBS2 in CRC tissues and studied the possible mechanism by which THBS2 regulates CRC progression.

Background: Tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV) is the most prevalent arbovirus, with a tentative estimate of 10,000 to 10,500 infections occurring in Europe and Asia every year. Endemic in Northeast China, tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) is emerging as a major threat to public health, local economies and tourism. The complicated array of host physiological changes has hampered elucidation of the molecular mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of this disease.

The chemoresistance of tumors is the main barrier to cancer treatment. Interleukin-22 (IL-22) plays an important role in the chemoresistance of multi-cancers; however, the roles of IL-22 in the paclitaxel resistance of lung adenocarcinoma cells remain to be investigated. The present study aims to investigate the potential mechanisms of IL-22 enhancing the chemoresistance of lung adenocarcinoma cells to paclitaxel.
