Background: Although the zygomatic arch is an important structure determining facial prominence and width, no consensus exists regarding the classification of isolated zygomatic arch fractures, and the literature on this topic is scarce. To date, five papers have subdivided zygomatic arch fractures; however, only one of those proposed classifications includes the injury vector, although the injury vector is one of the most important factors to consider in fracture cases. Furthermore, the only classification that does include the injury vector is too complicated to be suitable for daily practice.

Introduction: Although endoscopic healing (EH) is recommended as the therapeutic goal in patients with Crohn's disease (CD), combined EH and radiologic healing (RH) could be a more ideal therapeutic goal considering the transmural nature of CD. We compared the prognosis of patients with CD who achieved EH, RH, both EH and RH (deep healing; DH), or no healing under treatment with anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) agents.
Methods: We analyzed 392 patients with CD who received anti-TNF treatment for more than 1 year and evaluated with CT enterography or magnetic resonance enterography together with colonoscopy within 3 months between July 2017 and December 2018.

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are effective first line therapies for treating depression, but are plagued by undesirable side effects and are not effective in all patients. Because SSRIs effectively deplete the neuronal releasable serotonin (5-HT) pool, gaining a deeper understanding of intracellular mechanisms regulating 5-HT pools can help us understand the shortcomings of SSRIs and develop more effective therapies. In this study, we found that BAIAP3 (brain-specific angiogenesis inhibitor 1-associated protein 3) is significantly downregulated in two mouse models of depression (the IR- and CUMS-induced depressive mouse models).

Although lipoma is a common benign tumor, it occurs relatively infrequently in the oral and maxillofacial areas, and only 31 cases of lipoma in the buccal fat pad have been reported. Herein, we present an extremely rare case of symmetric lipomas in both buccal fat pads. These masses were incidentally discovered during a facelift procedure in a 50-year-old woman with a 4-year history of tamoxifen use.

Background: During high tibial osteotomy (HTO), the superficial medial collateral ligament (sMCL) is cut or released at any degree to expose the osteotomy site and achieve the targeted alignment correction according to the surgeon's preference. However, it is still unclear whether transection of sMCL increases valgus laxity.
Purpose: We aimed to assess the outcomes and safety of sMCL transection, especially focusing on iatrogenic valgus instability.

Chordomas are rare, locally aggressive bone malignancies with poor prognoses. However, those with minimal or no bone involvement are more easily resectable because of their well-delineated margins and thus have better prognoses. Such extraosseous chordomas of the spine are localized both intradurally and extradurally.

Background: In patients with congenital melanocytic nevus (CMN), single-stage removal of large lesions can be difficult because the high tension created by excising and repairing a large lesion may result in scar widening. Herein, we introduce a method to effectively excise lesions while minimizing scarring and compare its outcomes to those of existing surgical methods.
Methods: We compared patients who underwent surgery using the anchoring technique (n=42) or the conventional elliptical technique (n=36).
