Article Synopsis
  • Human activities have transformed the natural river network in Yinzhou's southeastern plain into a mixed water system, leading to urban flooding and water security issues due to altered river connectivity.
  • The paper presents a method for evaluating river connectivity using complex networks and cellular automata, analyzing changes from the 1990s to the 2020s.
  • Key findings include a declining river connectivity during early urbanization, ongoing degradation in the northeastern area, and a strong link between urbanization and connectivity changes impacting flood severity.

School of Data Science and Computer Science, Shandong Women's University, Jinan, 250300, China.

Hashing has been extensively utilized in cross-modal retrieval due to its high efficiency in handling large-scale, high-dimensional data. However, most existing cross-modal hashing methods operate as offline learning models, which learn hash codes in a batch-based manner and prove to be inefficient for streaming data. Recently, several online cross-modal hashing methods have been proposed to address the streaming data scenario.

Background: We recently reported on a late preterm infant born at 36 weeks' gestation with serious arrhythmia due to hyperkalemia associated with long-term maternal ritodrine administration. It is unknown whether ritodrine alone increases the risk of neonatal hyperkalemia in infants born at 34-36 weeks' gestation.

Methods: This single-center, retrospective, cohort study enrolled late preterm infants (34-36 gestational weeks) born between 2004 and 2018.

Capturing semantics and structure surrounding the target entity pair is crucial for relation extraction. The task is challenging due to the limited semantic elements and structural features of the target entity pair within a sentence. To tackle this problem, this paper introduces an approach that fuses entity-related features under convolutional neural networks and graph convolution neural networks.

This study aimed to investigate the possible drug-drug interactions (DDIs) of 5-FU with antihypertensives metabolised by CYP3A4 and 2C9, using blood pressure (BP) as a pharmacodynamic (PD) parameter. Patients who received 5-FU in combination with antihypertensives metabolised by CYP3A4 or 2C9, specifically, a) amlodipine, nifedipine, or amlodipine + nifedipine, b) candesartan or valsartan, or c) amlodipine + candesartan, amlodipine + losartan, or nifedipine + valsartan, (Group A, = 20) were identified. Patients who received 5-FU with WF and antihypertensives, specifically, a) amlodipine or b) amlodipine + telmisartan, amlodipine + candesartan, or amlodipine + valsartan, (Group B, = 5) or 5-FU alone (Group C, = 25) were also identified and analysed as a comparator and control group, respectively.

As one of the most common cancers globally, the incidence of skin cancer has been rising. Dermoscopy-based classification has become the most effective method for the diagnosis of skin lesion types due to its accuracy and non-invasive characteristics, which plays a significant role in reducing mortality. Although a great breakthrough of the task of skin lesion classification has been made with the application of convolutional neural network, the inter-class similarity and intra-class variation in skin lesions images, the high class imbalance of the dataset and the lack of ability to focus on the lesion area all affect the classification results of the model.

In order to address the false alarm detection problem caused by the inability to identify the transgression scene pages in the process of horizontal transgression detection, this study proposes a deep learning-based LSTM-AutoEncoder unsupervised prediction model. The model uses long short-term memory network to build AutoEncoder, extracts text features of page response data of horizontal transgression scenario, and reconstructs text features to restore. Meanwhile, it counts the error between the restored result and the original page response, judges whether the detection result of horizontal transgression is false alarm according to the error threshold of unknown page, and tests the effectiveness of the model effect under real business data by comparing it with other two algorithms, one-class SVM and AutoEncoder, which provides security for enterprise network business.

Drug-drug interactions (DDIs) between warfarin (WF) and fluoropyrimidines are well known. Co-administration of WF and 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) leads to elevations in prothrombin time international normalised ratio (PT-INR). The inhibition of drug metabolism through suppression of CYP activity is a possible cause of prolonged PT-INR elevations.
