With the recent development in power electronic devices, HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) systems have been recognized as the most prominent solution to transmit electric power economically. Today, several HVDC projects have been implemented physically. The conventional HVDC systems use grid commutation converters, and its commutation relies on an AC system for the provision of voltage.

To overcome the need of the world for energy consumption, we have to find some better and stable alternate ways of renewable energy with advanced technology. The most readily available source of energy is solar energy but solar energy has nonlinear nature due to the random nature of climate conditions. So, one way to solve is solar radiation prediction and solar energy prediction using more accurate techniques.

Bladder exstrophy-epispadias complex (EEC) is a rare congenital defect where the abdominal muscles and bones fail to close in the mid-pelvis. It is crucial to understand the health-related quality of life (QOL) of exstrophy patients who have undergone multiple correctional surgeries. We herein discuss a case of bladder EEC that was repaired through a series of procedures at a resource-limited hospital in Karachi, Pakistan.

Disorders of sex development, congenital conditions in which chromosomal, gonadal or anatomic sex is atypical at birth, require urgent assessment by a multidisciplinary team, to define whether there is a life threatening disorder of congenital adrenal hyperplasia or a healthy child with a complex condition. Uncertainty, stigma and taboo complicate counselling which must be knowledgeable, comprehensive and sensitive to different circumstances, religions and cultures. This articles will discuss clinical and genetic diagnosis, decisions regarding sex of rearing, ethical dilemmas, medical management of the infant and of the child or adolescent presenting for the first time with a DSD.

Corporate environmental management attention is shifting from clean technologies and pollution prevention to green product development (GPD). As a result, firms consider GPD critical for their increased productivity, cost reduction, better use of input resources, mitigation of waste disposal and become environmentally friendly. This research measures the effects of the best practices of environmental management - pollution prevention technologies, innovation and early timing - on GPD; and to analyze whether the moderating role of organizational capital strengthens/weakens that relationship.

Tracking problems, including unknown number of targets, target trajectories behaviour and uncertain motion of targets in the surveillance region, are challenging issues. It is also difficult to estimate cross-over targets in heavy clutter density environment. In addition, tracking algorithms including smoothers which use measurements from upcoming scans to estimate the targets are often unsuccessful in tracking due to low detection probabilities.

Background: Measuring eCo is rapid, non-invasive and inexpensive tool and correlate correctly with carboxyhemoglobin levels in blood. The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the increase in end tidal carbon monoxide (eCO) levels in exhaled breath of passive smokers and healthy smokers after cigarette and shisha smoking.
Findings: In a cross sectional study eCO levels were measured in 70 subjects (24 cigarette smokers, 20 shisha smoker, 26 passive smokers) by use of portable device.
