In this paper, we propose a new robust and fast learning technique by investigating the effect of integration of quaternion and interval type II fuzzy logic along with non-iterative, parameter free deterministic learning machine (DLM) pertaining to face recognition problem. The traditional learning techniques did not account colour information and degree of pixel wise association of individual pixel of a colour face image in their network. Therefore, this paper presents a new technique named quaternion interval type II based deterministic learning machine (QIntTyII-DLM), which considers the interrelationship between three colour channels viz.

At now, the majority of approaches rely on manual techniques for annotating cell types subsequent to clustering the data obtained from single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq). These approaches require a significant amount of physical exertion and depend substantially on the user's skill, perhaps resulting in uneven outcomes and inconsistency in treatment. In this paper, we provide a computer-assisted interpretation of every single cell of a tissue sample, along with an in-depth exploration of an individual cell's molecular, phenotypic and functional attributes.

Eliminating synthetic dyes and organic contaminants from water is crucial for safeguarding human health and preserving the environment. In this study, we explored the effectiveness of Ag-Cu-CeO nanocomposites as adsorbents to remove Congo Red dye from water. Three compositions of Ag-Cu-CeO nanocomposites (10:20:70, 15:15:70, and 20:10:70) have been synthesized by the aqueous coprecipitation method.

Context: Furan and its derivatives constitute a vital class of heterocyclic chemistry used widely in organic synthesis via Diels-Alder reactions. As fluorine incorporation has been of great interest due to the limited possible pathways, the present study on [4 + 2] cycloaddition Diels-Alder reaction, between hexafluoro-2-butyne and 2-substituted (NH, OCH, OTMS, NHBoc) furans, uses the reaction as a likely route. The computational study revealed that that the reaction is feasible in all conditions and is most favorable for NH substituent in furan.

The current study presents an overview of heavy metals bioremediation from halo-alkaline conditions by using extremophilic microorganisms. Heavy metal remediation from the extreme environment with high pH and elevated salt concentration is a challenge as mesophilic microorganisms are unable to thrive under these polyextremophilic conditions. Thus, for effective bioremediation of extreme systems, specialized microbes (extremophiles) are projected as potential bioremediating agents, that not only thrive under such extreme conditions but are also capable of remediating heavy metals from these environments.

Context: The structural, electronic, non-linear optical (NLO) and spectral properties of [Formula: see text] clusters with [Formula: see text] have been studied under the influence of an external electric field using density functional theory (DFT). The effect of variation in the Hf:Ti ratio on different properties of clusters is investigated. The motivation to study [Formula: see text] clusters lies in the fact that HfTiO thin films have wide applications in various optoelectronic and photovoltaic devices.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on human health management. A rapid diagnosis of SARS-CoV2 at the point-of-care (POC) is critical to prevent disease spread. As a POC device for remote settings, a LFIA should not require cold-chain maintenance and should be kept at normal temperatures.

Early land plants such as the moss Physcomitrium patens lack several morphological traits that offer protection to tracheophytes from environmental stresses. These plants instead have evolved several physiological and biochemical mechanisms that facilitate them to adapt to terrestrial stresses such as drought. We have previously shown that loss-of-function mutants of tRNA (cytosine(38)-C(5))-methyltransferase TRDMT1/DNMT2 in P.

Nitrate-responsive transcriptomic, phenotypic and physiological analyses of rice RGA1 mutant revealed many novel RGA1-regulated genes/processes/traits related to nitrogen use efficiency, and provided robust genetic evidence of RGA1-regulation of NUE. Nitrogen (N) use efficiency (NUE) is important for sustainable agriculture. G-protein signalling was implicated in N-response/NUE in rice, but needed firm genetic characterization of the role of alpha subunit (RGA1).

The Covid 19 pandemic led to major changes at the individual, organisational and institutional levels of policy, productive functions, and organising. During Covid 19 morbidity, public institutions enforced social isolation, mandatory self-isolation, quarantines, and administrative regulatory lockdowns, which led to a movement away from the physical, material world and into an all-consuming digital universe. With growing interest in work-from-home (WFH) opportunities, this article provides an integrative review of 107 papers.

Microsatellites or Simple Sequence Repeats (SSRs) are short iterations of 1-6 bp in the genomes of almost all living organisms. Our study aimed to explore the microsatellite diversity in four cultivated species, namely chinensis, , , and of the and families. We present a comprehensive analysis of microsatellite abundance, distribution, and motif composition in the genomes of these species.

As an invasive species, water hyacinths (Eichhornia crassipes) are known to progressively proliferate and cause the ecological invasions of the aquatic environment. The incursions of the water hyacinths not only cause the disappearance of native species but gradually degrade the natural habitats of freshwater regimes. The control and management of these species are laborious task; however, transforming weed into wealth can substantially serve a sustainable approach to reduce the efforts.

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are pervasive in the atmosphere and are one of the emerging pollutants that cause harmful effects in living systems. There are some natural and anthropogenic sources that can produce PAHs in an uncontrolled way. Several health hazards associated with PAHs like abnormality in the reproductive system, endocrine system as well as immune system have been explained.

We have theoretically investigated the underlying physics of observed high electrical conductivity (), simultaneous increase of σ and Seebeck coefficient () with temperature, and large power factors (PFs) in nominally undoped SnSe nanoflakes sintered at different temperatures, reported recently in Mandava(2022155710). Given the fact that S and σ show unusual temperature trends and that the undoped SnSe samples are highly porous and disordered, the conventional Boltzmann theory does not appear to be an appropriate model to describe their transport properties. We have, instead, used a strong disorder model based on percolation theory where charge and energy transport take place through hopping between localized states to understand these observations.

The primary barrier to nutrient absorption in fish is the intestinal epithelium, followed by a community of microorganisms known as the gut microbiota, which can be thought of as a hidden organ. The gastrointestinal microbiota of fish plays a key role in the upholding of overall health by maintaining the homeostasis and disease resistance of the host. However, emerging contaminants as the result of anthropogenic activities have significantly led to disruptions and intestinal dysbiosis in fish.

There is a significant concern about the accessibility of uncontaminated and safe drinking water, a fundamental necessity for human beings. This concern is attributed to the toxic micropollutants from several emission sources, including industrial toxins, agricultural runoff, wastewater discharges, sewer overflows, landfills, algal blooms and microbiota. Emerging micropollutants (EMs) encompass a broad spectrum of compounds, including pharmaceutically active chemicals, personal care products, pesticides, industrial chemicals, steroid hormones, toxic nanomaterials, microplastics, heavy metals, and microorganisms.
