Background Thoracic trauma accounts for 20-25% of all traumas and is the third most frequent cause of death, after abdominal injury and head trauma. In the Emergency Department (ED), shifting an unstable patient to the X-ray room for detecting pneumothorax and hemothorax is always risky and bedside X-ray causes radiation exposure not only to the particular patient but also to the surrounding patients in a congested and busy ED. This can be avoided by using bedside ultrasonography (USG) as the initial imaging modality in chest trauma patients.

The bleeding risk in immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is related not only to low platelet count but also to the presence of platelet dysfunction. However, diagnosing a concomitant platelet dysfunction is challenging as most of the available platelet function assays (PFAs) require a platelet count of greater than 100,000/μL. Sonoclot coagulation and platelet function analyzer works on the principle of viscoelastometry, and results remain unaffected by the platelet counts.

Key Clinical Message: Identifying any potential comorbidity such as bulimia nervosa (BN) and ADHD in trichotillomania patients is essential for a thorough treatment plan. Combining a multidisciplinary approach was found to be feasible and effective in the treatment.
Abstract: Trichotillomania is frequently considered an isolated disorder; nevertheless, emerging evidence suggests that other psychiatric conditions, including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), are often found to coexist.

Background And Objectives: Intraluminal therapies, including brachytherapy, can locally destroy obstructing tumors and increase the duration of catheter/stent patency in patients with unresectable malignant biliary obstruction (MBO). In this prospective observational study, the safety and efficacy of percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD) followed by HDR intraluminal brachytherapy (ILBT) in the palliative treatment of malignant biliary obstruction was evaluated.
Patients And Methods: In total, 66 MBO patients (January 2021 to March 2022) who were unfit for alternate treatment modalities were enrolled in our study and underwent percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD) with internalization.
Objective The objective of our study was to assess the risk for diabetes using the Indian Diabetic Risk Score (IDRS) questionnaire and compare the components of IDRS between the risk groups. Methods It was a cross-sectional study involving 270 male and female attendees who visited Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Institute of Medical Sciences (MAPIMS) from December 2019 to May 2020. Despite significant efforts and progress made in newborn care programs in India, implementation gaps persist across the continuum of care. The present case studies of two districts in Himachal Pradesh revealed that pathways of care were often fragmented with inconsistent linkages between facility and community due to poor documentation, lack of tiered referral, health system weaknesses, low utilization of primary level institutions, and inadequate post-natal home visits by Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs). Involvement of healthcare providers (HCPs) and frontline health workers (FHWs) was low and uneven in generating awareness across the districts with limited participation in supporting care in the community.
