Pseudocapacitive kinetics in rationally engineered nanostructures can deliver higher energy and power densities simultaneously. The present report reveals a high-performance all-solid-state flexible symmetric supercapacitor (FSSC) based on MoS-MoN nanowires deposited directly on stainless steel mesh (MoS-MoN/SSM) employing DC reactive magnetron co-sputtering technology. The abundance of synergistically coupled interfaces and junctions between MoS nanosheets and MoN nanostructures across the nanocomposite results in greater porosity, increased ionic conductivity, and superior electrical conductivity.

Exploiting pseudocapacitance in rationally engineered nanomaterials offers greater energy storage capacities at faster rates. The present research reports a high-performance Molybdenum Oxynitride (MoON) nanostructured material deposited directly over stainless-steel mesh (SSM) via reactive magnetron sputtering technique for flexible symmetric supercapacitor (FSSC) application. The MoON/SSM flexible electrode manifests remarkable Na-ion pseudocapacitive kinetics, delivering exceptional ≈881.

Prevalence of drug resistant strains in hospitalized immune-compromised patients with invasive fungal infections has increased at an unexpected pace. This has greatly pushed researchers in identification of mutations/variations in clinical isolates for better assessment of the prevailing drug resistance trends and also for updating of antifungal therapy regime. In the present investigation, the clinical isolates of were comprehensively characterized at a molecular level using metabolic profiling and transcriptional expression analysis approaches in combination with biochemical, morphological and chemical profiling methods.

Owing to the astounding biological properties, dietary plant flavonoids have received considerable attention toward developing unique supplementary food sources to prevent various ailments. Chemokines are chemotactic proteins involved in leukocyte trafficking through their interactions with G-protein-coupled receptors and cell surface glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). CCL2 chemokine, a foremost member of CC chemokines, is associated with the pathogenesis of various inflammatory infirmities, thus making the CCL2-Receptor (CCR2)/GAG axis a potential pharmacological target.

Chemokines are small regulatory proteins that play a crucial role in the coordinated migration of cell populations to the site of infection/inflammation by binding to their cognate receptors. In principle, chemokine receptors, which are serpentine G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), mediate the series of downstream intracellular signaling events that occur inside the cells to resolve the pathogenicity. Intracellular signaling pathways regulated by the kinase protein sub-families are the center of attention for chemokine derived functional responses.

In the present investigation, the role of carbon sources (glucose, lactate, sucrose, and arabinose) on Candida albicans biofilm development and virulence factors was studied on polystyrene microtiter plates. Besides this, structural changes in cell wall component β-glucan in presence of different carbon sources have also been highlighted. Biofilm formation was analyzed by XTT (2,3-bis[2-Methoxy-4-nitro-5-sulfophenyl]-2H-tetrazolium-5-carboxanilide) reduction assay.

Immune regulation is a complex biological signaling pathway in which several classes of biomolecules and small molecules play a complacent role to mediate this process. Glycoimmunology is a rapidly evolving research area that deals with the structure, binding interactions and immunological functions of glycans. Great deal of information regarding proteins and nucleic acids in molecular recognition events have been established owing to their well-established structural features and straight forward replication, transcription and translation principles.
