Molecular self-assembly assisted self-healing supramolecular metallogels of azelaic acid with cobalt(II)-, nickel(II)-, and zinc(II)-based metal acetate salts were successfully fabricated. Individually, ,'-dimethylformamide and dimethyl sulfoxide were immobilized within these distinctly synthesized soft-scaffolds of metallogels to attain their semisolid viscoelastic nature. Rheological experiments such as amplitude sweep, frequency sweep, and thixotropic measurements were executed for these metallogels to ratify their gel features.

In the present work, a multiple-stimuli-responsive hydrogel has been synthesized via polymerization of acrylamide (AAm) and -hydroxy methyl acrylamide (HMAm) on β-cyclodextrin (β-CD). The synthesized hydrogel β-CD--(pAAm/pHMAm) exhibited various striking features like ultrahigh stretchability (>6000%), flexibility, stab resistivity, self-recoverability, electroresponsiveness, pressure-responsiveness, adhesiveness, and high transparency (>90%). Besides, the hydrogel has demonstrated enhanced biocompatibility, UV resistance, and thermoresponsive shape memory behaviors.

The utilisation of sunlight as an abundant and renewable resource has motivated the development of sustainable photocatalysts that can collectively harvest visible light. However, the bottleneck in utilising the low energy photons has led to the discovery of plasmonic photocatalysts. The presence of noble metal on the plasmonic photocatalyst enables the harvesting of visible light through the unique characteristic features of the noble metal nanomaterials.
