This paper describes the development of a multilingual, manually annotated dataset for three under-resourced Dravidian languages generated from social media comments. The dataset was annotated for sentiment analysis and offensive language identification for a total of more than 60,000 YouTube comments. The dataset consists of around 44,000 comments in Tamil-English, around 7000 comments in Kannada-English, and around 20,000 comments in Malayalam-English.

Due to mood-congruency effects, we expect the emotion perceived on a face to be biased towards one's own mood. But the findings in the scant literature on such mood effects in normal healthy populations have not consistently and adequately supported this expectation. Employing effective mood manipulation techniques that ensured that the intended mood was sustained throughout the perception task, we explored mood-congruent intensity and recognition accuracy biases in emotion perception.

Impact of naturopathy, yoga, and dietary interventions as adjuvant chemotherapy in the management of stage II and III adenocarcinoma of the colon.

Introduction: Naturopathy, Yoga and Dietary interventions are known to improve the quality of life in cancer patients. We aim to evaluate the effect of naturopathy interventions along with adjuvant chemotherapy in patients who underwent surgery for Adenocarcinoma of the Colon.

Methods: A total of 116 adult patients were randomised in to one of the two groups; the experimental group received naturopathy, Yoga and Dietary interventions and the control group received psycho-social counselling in addition to standard chemotherapy.

Memristive GAN in Analog.

In this paper, we propose to accelerate these intensive neural computations using memristive neural networks in analog domain. The implementation of Analog Memristive Deep Convolutional GAN (AM-DCGAN) using Generator as deconvolutional and Discriminator as convolutional memristive neural network is presented.

Exploring Mitochondria-Mediated Intrinsic Apoptosis by New Phytochemical Entities: An Explicit Observation of Cytochrome Dynamics on Lung and Melanoma Cancer Cells.

Hydnocarpin (Hy) is a flavonoid isolated and purified from the seeds of Blume. Herein, we have developed a built-in semi-synthetic modification on Hy by one-pot multi-component reaction and a [3 + 2] cycloaddition strategy to append five membered isoxazole and isoxazolone as new phytochemical entities (NPCEs). Two selected NPCEs viz Hy-ISO-VIII and Hy-ISO-G from the library of 20 newly synthesized derivatives after in vitro screening unveiled promising cytotoxicity and induced caspase-mediated apoptosis against the human lung and melanoma cancer cells which were well supported by virtual screening based on ligand binding affinity and molecular dynamic simulations.

Purpose: Address the shortcomings of edge-preserving filters to preserve the complex nature of edges, by adapting the direction of diffusion to the local variations in intensity function on a subpixel level, thereby achieving a reconstruction accuracy superior to that of data-driven learning-based approaches.

Theory And Methods: Rate of diffusion for edges is found to vary in accordance with their gradient direction. Therefore, the edge preservation is strongly dependent on the direction in which the gradient is computed.

SWI processing using a local phase difference modulated venous enhancement filter with noise compensation.

Susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) involves post-processing of gradient echo images which are sensitive to the spatial variations in magnetic susceptibility. The aim of this study is to develop an automated filtering scheme to enhance the contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) and blooming on SWI. Here, the high-pass filtering for SWI processing is designed by applying a weighting function to the neighboring phase differences to enhance the susceptibility-related (SuR) contrast.

Serotonin receptor, 5-HTR, agonists and partial agonists have established drug candidates for psychiatric and neurologic disorders. Recently, we reported the synthesis and evaluation of arylpiperazine derivatives of 3,5-dioxo-(2H,4H)-1,2,4-triazine as 5-HTR ligands. Herein, we generated a homology model of the receptor and docked the ligands against it, predicted the stability of the receptor model and complexes by molecular dynamics and generated a 3D-QSAR model for the arylpiperazine derivatives of 3,5-dioxo-(2H,4H)-1,2,4-triazine.

Objective of this study is to evaluate the ABL kinase inhibitory activity of derivatives of Gallic acid fused with 1,3,4-Oxadiazole moieties.

A mixed-order nonlinear diffusion compressed sensing MR image reconstruction.

Purpose: Avoid formation of staircase artifacts in nonlinear diffusion-based MR image reconstruction without compromising computational speed.

Methods: Whereas second-order diffusion encourages the evolution of pixel neighborhood with uniform intensities, fourth-order diffusion considers smooth region to be not necessarily a uniform intensity region but also a planar region. Therefore, a controlled application of fourth-order diffusivity function is used to encourage second-order diffusion to reconstruct the smooth regions of the image as a plane rather than a group of blocks, while not being strong enough to introduce the undesirable speckle effect.

Multichannel compressed sensing MR image reconstruction using statistically optimized nonlinear diffusion.

Purpose: Eliminate the need for parametric tuning in total variation (TV) based multichannel compressed-sensing image reconstruction using statistically optimized nonlinear diffusion without compromising image quality.

Theory And Methods: Nonlinear diffusion controls the denoising process using a contrast parameter that separates the gradients corresponding to noise and true edges in the image. This parameter is statistically estimated from the variance of combined image gradient to yield minimum steady-state reconstruction error.

Imatinib mesylate, a BCR/ABL fusion protein inhibitor, is the first-line treatment against chronic myelogenous leukemia. In spite of its advantageous viewpoints, imatinib still has genuine impediments like undesirable side effects and tumor resistance during chemotherapy. Nanoparticles with sustainable release profile will help in targeted delivery of anticancer drugs while minimizing deleterious side effects and drug resistance.

Galactoxyloglucan (PST001), isolated from seed kernel of Tamarindus indica is a non-toxic immunostimlatory agent with selective cytotoxicity on cancer cells. Toxicity associated with the chemotherapeutic drug doxorubicin (Dox) is the major barrier in its clinical application. Stable, spherically shaped PST-Dox nanoparticles with an average size of 10nm were prepared via ionic gelation of Dox with PST001 which displayed a pH dependent cumulative Dox release kinetics.

Improved image reconstruction of low-resolution multichannel phase contrast angiography.

In low-resolution phase contrast magnetic resonance angiography, the maximum intensity projected channel images will be blurred with consequent loss of vascular details. The channel images are enhanced using a stabilized deblurring filter, applied to each channel prior to combining the individual channel images. The stabilized deblurring is obtained by the addition of a nonlocal regularization term to the reverse heat equation, referred to as nonlocally stabilized reverse diffusion filter.

A higher dimensional homodyne filter for phase sensitive partial Fourier reconstruction of magnetic resonance imaging.

The aim of this paper is to introduce procedural steps for extension of the 1D homodyne phase correction for k-space truncation in all gradient encoding directions. Compared to the existing method applied to 2D partial k-space, signal losses introduced by the phase correction filter are observed to be minimal for the modified approach. In addition, the modified form of phase correction retains the inherent property of homodyne filtering for elimination of incidental phase artifacts due to truncation.
