Exosomes are small extracellular vesicles secreted by cells, ranging in size from 30 to 150 nm. They contain proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, and other bioactive molecules, which play a crucial role in intercellular communication and material transfer. In tumor immunity, exosomes present various functions while the following two are of great importance: regulating the immune response and serving as delivery carriers.

Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of the size of pesticide pictograms on comprehensibility and their adherence to principles of familiarity, compatibility, and standardization. Pictograms usually involve complex details, and space limitation demands size reductions, which reduces overall comprehensibility, especially in agriculture and healthcare.

Methods: Two experiments were conducted.

Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals are frequently used in the continuous monitoring of heart patients. These recordings generate huge data, which is difficult to store or transmit in telehealth applications. In the above context, this work proposes an efficient novel compression algorithm by integrating the tunable-Q wavelet transform (TQWT) with coronavirus herd immunity optimizer (CHIO).

A hybrid salp swarm algorithm based on TLBO for reliability redundancy allocation problems.

Appl Intell (Dordr)

February 2022

Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Uttarakhand-247667, India.

A novel optimization algorithm called hybrid salp swarm algorithm with teaching-learning based optimization (HSSATLBO) is proposed in this paper to solve reliability redundancy allocation problems (RRAP) with nonlinear resource constraints. Salp swarm algorithm (SSA) is one of the newest meta-heuristic algorithms which mimic the swarming behaviour of salps. It is an efficient swarm optimization technique that has been used to solve various kinds of complex optimization problems.

Surface Engineering Division, CSIR - National Aerospace Laboratories, Bengaluru 560017, India.

Nanocrystalline LaFeO, LaFeMnO, and LaMnO perovskites have been synthesized by a novel solution combustion route, in which oxalyl dihydrazide (ODH) has been used as a fuel. These materials have been characterized using several physicochemical techniques. LaFeO and LaFeMnO adopt an orthorhombic structure and LaMnO crystallizes in a rhombohedral structure as demonstrated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns.

Tire Tread Removing Units in Central India: Risk Factors and Potential Interventions.

IISE Trans Occup Ergon Hum Factors

December 2021

Department of Mechanical Engineering, G.H Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.

Occupational ApplicationsRisk factors for work-related musculoskeletal disorders were found to be prevalent in the informal work sector of tire tread removing units at Jabalpur in Central India. A majority of the tasks examined were in high-risk category requiring immediate ergonomic intervention. We show that using relatively simple methods, with little training, can aid in early detection of risk factors and thus help to prevent the onset of work-related musculoskeletal disorders.
