Edwardsiella tarda (Et) is a zoonotic gram-negative pathogen with a diverse host range, including fish. However, the in-depth molecular mechanisms underlying the response of Labeo rohita (rohu) kidney to Et are poorly understood. A proteomic and histopathological analysis was performed for the rohu kidney after Et infection.

Captive breeding programs for Neolissochilus hexagonolepis are essential for population restoration. To develop an efficacious method for enhancing N. hexagonolepis spawning in captivity, there was examination of: (1) different types of spawning substrate and (2) area of spawning in the substrate.

Three Draft Genome Sequences of White Spot Syndrome Virus from India.

White spot syndrome virus (WSSV) is a pathogen causing significant economic losses to shrimp aquaculture worldwide. Previously, five genome sequences of the virus from farmed shrimp (Penaeus vannamei and Penaeus monodon) in India were reported, all originating from farms located on the east coast of the country. Here, we report three new and distinct WSSV genome sequences, two from shrimp () farmed on the west coast of India and the third from the east coast.
