Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a complex heterogenic disease of unknown etiology, is the most common endocrine disorder in women of reproductive age. Sufferers often exhibit significant insulin resistance, glucose intolerance, obesity, and dyslipidemia. There is no cure for PCOS, although metformin and weight reduction have shown some benefits.

Background: Mental health problems in university students are associated with many negative outcomes, yet there is a gap between need and timely access to help. Single-session interventions (SSIs) are designed to be scalable and accessible, delivering core evidence-based intervention components within a one-off encounter.

Objective: COMET (Common Elements Toolbox) is an online self-help SSI that includes behavioral activation, cognitive restructuring, gratitude, and self-compassion.

Importance: Rapid digitalization of health care and a dearth of digital health education for medical students and junior physicians worldwide means there is an imperative for more training in this dynamic and evolving field.

Objective: To develop an evidence-informed, consensus-guided, adaptable digital health competencies framework for the design and development of digital health curricula in medical institutions globally.

Evidence Review: A core group was assembled to oversee the development of the Digital Health Competencies in Medical Education (DECODE) framework.

Although metal organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) have been extensively used as fluorescent-based antibiotic sensors, newly developed hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (HOFs) are largely unexplored toward this direction. To realize this, the luminescent HOFs must be stable in water as the analytes are mostly found in water-based effluents in environments. In addition, HOFs should be equipped with specific recognition sites in order to direct the discrimination among the antibiotics.

Epithelial ovarian cancer is the most prevalent gynecological malignancy, characterized by high mortality rates due to its late-stage diagnosis and frequent recurrence. The current standard of care for ovarian cancer is a combination of debulking surgery followed by the conventional mode of chemotherapy. Despite significant advances in therapeutic modalities, the overall survival rate of EOC continues to be poor, mainly because low concentrations of the chemotherapeutics reach the peritoneum, which is the primary site of ovarian cancer, leading to disease relapse.

Background: Conventional post-stroke edema management strategies are limitedly successful as in multiple cases of hemorrhagic transformation is being reported. Clinically, acute-ischemic-stroke (AIS) intervention by endovascular mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have shown benefits by altering various signaling pathways. Our previous studies have reported that intra-arterial administration of 1*10 MSCs (IA-MSCs) were beneficial in alleviating post-stroke edema by modulating PKCδ/MMP9/AQP4 axis and helpful in preserving the integrity of blood-brain-barrier (BBB).

Since the 1990s, fatty acids (FA) have drawn significant industrial attention due to their diverse applications creating a demand for biological systems capable of producing high FA titers. While various strategies have been explored to achieve this, many of the conventional approaches rely on extensive genetic manipulations, which often result in strain instability, thus limiting its potential to yield better FA titers. Moreover, stresses such as pH, osmotic, and oxidative imbalances generated during FA production aggravate these challenges, further limiting FA titers.

Anthropogenic CO emissions are the prime cause of global warming and climate change, promoting researchers to develop suitable technologies to reduce carbon footprints. Among various CO sequestration technologies, microalgal-based methods are found to be promising due to their easier operation, environmental benefits, and simpler equipment requirements. Microalgae-based carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology is essential for addressing challenges related to the use of industrial-emitted flue gases.

In recent years, rising environmental concerns and the detrimental impact of emissions from the growing number of locomotives have prompted scientists to investigate alternative fuels derived from renewable lipids, such as microemulsion-based hybrid biofuels (MHBFs). Petro crops and lignocellulosic biomass are the common agricultural and forest feedstocks for biofuel production. Biofuel can be characterized in terms of its volatility range, physicochemical properties, composition, combustion, and emission characteristics.

Pancreatic cancer remains as global health challenge, ranking as the seventh leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide with high mortality rates and a low five-year survival rate. Despite advancements in conventional therapies, including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, the overall survival rates for pancreatic cancer patients have shown minimal improvement. Consequently, there is an urgent need for alternative therapeutic strategies.
