Wearable communication technologies necessitate antenna designs that harmonize ergonomic compatibility, reliable performance, and minimal interaction with human tissues. However, high specific absorption rate (SAR) levels, limited radiation efficiency, and challenges in integration with flexible materials have significantly constrained widespread deployment. To address these limitations, this manuscript introduces a novel wearable cavity-backed substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) antenna augmented with artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) structures.

The continuous scaling down of MOSFETs is one of the present trends in semiconductor devices to increase device performance. Nevertheless, with scaling down beyond 22 nm technology, the performance of even the newer nanodevices with multi-gate architecture declines with an increase in short channel effects (SCEs). Consequently, to facilitate further increases in the drain current, the use of strained silicon technology provides a better solution.

A substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) bandpass filter (BPF) with extraordinary selectivity and an adequate upper stopband for C-band Satellite Communication (SATCOM) applications is proposed in this paper. The design comprises comb-shaped slots engraved on a half-mode SIW (HMSIW) that constitute a multimode resonator (MMR). Its performance is further ameliorated by applying the first and second iterations of the Minkowski fractal curve in the ground plane as a defected ground structure (DGS).

In robotic arm controllers, the ability to shift signal levels is crucial for interfacing between different voltage domains in a processor. The level shifter (LS) has been used to convert signals operating near threshold voltage to signals operating well above the threshold voltage. Researchers have developed current mirror-based LSs to employ current mirrors, which duplicate the current from one transistor and accurately replicate it in another, ensuring precise current matching.

Traumatic optic neuropathy (TON) has been regarded a vision-threatening condition caused by either ocular or blunt/penetrating head trauma, which is characterized by direct or indirect TON. Injury happens during sports, vehicle accidents and mainly in military war and combat exposure. Earlier, we have demonstrated that remote ischemic post-conditioning (RIC) therapy is protective in TON, and here we report that AMPKα1 activation is crucial.

Choline-acetyltransferase (ChAT) is the key cholinergic enzyme responsible for the biosynthesis of acetylcholine (ACh), a crucial signaling molecule with both canonical neurotransmitter function and auto- and paracrine signaling activity in non-neuronal cells, such as lymphocytes and astroglia. Cholinergic dysfunction is linked to both neurodegenerative and inflammatory diseases. In this study, we investigated a serendipitous observation, namely that the catalytic rate of human recombinant ChAT (rhChAT) protein greatly differed in buffered solution in the presence and absence of Triton X-100 (TX100).

Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided tissue sampling includes the techniques of fine needle aspiration (FNA) and fine needle biopsy (FNB), and both procedures have revolutionized specimen collection from the gastrointestinal tract, especially from remote/inaccessible organs. EUS-FNB has replaced FNA as the procedure of choice for tissue acquisition in solid pancreatic lesions (SPLs) across various society guidelines. FNB specimens provide a larger histological tissue core (preserving tissue architecture) with fewer needle passes, and this is extremely relevant in today's era of precision and personalized molecular medicine.

Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided interventions have revolutionized the management of malignant biliary obstruction (MBO) and gastric outlet obstruction (GOO), providing minimally invasive alternatives with improved outcomes. These procedures have significantly reduced the need for high-risk surgical interventions or percutaneous alternatives and have provided effective palliative care for patients with advanced gastrointestinal and bilio-pancreatic malignancies. EUS-guided biliary drainage (EUS-BD) techniques, including hepaticogastrostomy (EUS-HGS), choledochoduodenostomy (EUS-CDS), and antegrade stenting (EUS-AS), offer high technical and clinical success rates, with a good safety profile particularly when Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is not feasible.

Metarrestin (ML246) is a first-in-class pyrrole-pyrimidine-derived small molecule that selectively targets the perinucleolar compartment (PNC). PNC is a distinct subnuclear structure predominantly found in solid tumor cells. The occurrence of PNC demonstrates a positive correlation with malignancy, serving as an indicator of tumor aggressiveness, progression, and metastasis.

The quest for cleaner and sustainable energy sources is crucial, considering the current scenario of a steep rise in energy consumption and the fuel crisis, exacerbated by diminishing fossil fuel reserves and rising pollutants. In particular, the bioaccumulation of hazardous substances like trivalent chromium has not only disrupted the fragile equilibrium of the ecological system but also poses significant health hazards to humans. Microalgae emerged as a promising solution for achieving sustainability due to their ability to remediate contaminants and produce greener alternatives such as biofuels.

The generation of synthetic medical data has become a focal point for researchers, driven by the increasing demand for privacy-preserving solutions. While existing generative methods heavily rely on real datasets for training, access to such data is often restricted. In contrast, statistical information about these datasets is more readily available, yet current methods struggle to generate tabular data solely from statistical inputs.

Anxiety is a widespread mental health issue, and binaural beats have been explored as a potential non-invasive treatment. EEG data reveal changes in neural oscillation and connectivity linked to anxiety reduction; however, harmonics introduced during signal acquisition and processing often distort these findings. Existing methods struggle to effectively reduce harmonics and capture the fine-grained temporal dynamics of EEG signals, leading to inaccurate feature extraction.
