A new cobalt complex, bis-[tris-(amino-thio-urea)cobalt(III)] bis-[2-(carb-oxy-methyl)-2-hy-droxy-butane-dioato]cobalt(II) tetra-nitrate tetra-hydrate, [Co(CHNS)][Co(CHO)](NO)·2HO, designated as [Co(tsc)][Co(cit)](NO)·4HO, was synthesized. Two crystallographically independent cobalt centers are present. In the first, the central metal atom is chelated by three thio-semicarbazide ligands in a bidentate fashion whereas the second, positioned on a crystallographic inversion center, is hexa-coordinated by two citrate anions in a distorted octa-hedral geometry.

A significant obstacle in translating innovative breast cancer treatments from bench to bed side is demonstrating efficacy in preclinical settings prior to clinical trials, as the heterogeneity of breast cancer can be challenging to replicate in the laboratory. A significant number of potential medicines have not progressed to clinical trials because preclinical models inadequately replicate the complexities of the varied tumor microenvironment. Consequently, the variety of breast cancer models is extensive, and the selection of a model frequently depends on the specific inquiry presented.

With increasing number of patients with residual hearing being implanted, there is a renewed interest in round window (RW) as the preferred route for electrode insertion to reduce intracochlear trauma. The degree of round window membrane (RWM) visibility and its orientation might hamper the accessibility of RW for electrode insertion. This study is an attempt to identify the various factors affecting the accessibility of RW for electrode insertion.

The article titled "Role of the Maneuver in Sinusitis and Eustachian Tube Dysfunction" explores the efficacy of a novel technique known as the Maneuver. Sinusitis and Eustachian tube dysfunction are prevalent respiratory conditions often linked to impaired mucociliary flow and poor nasal clearance. Traditional maneuvers such as the Toynbee and Valsalva techniques provide temporary relief by forcefully opening the Eustachian tube but carry risks of injury and complications and does not work for sinusitis.

Benign swellings of the thyroid gland are a common occurrence, frequently seen in surgical practice. Regardless of their appearance, however, it is a must to ultrasonologically analyse them in order to confirm their morphology and pick up any warning signs which might point towards a malignant transformation. In this particular study, we analyzed the morphological features (ultrasonological) associated with benign goitrogenous lesions.

Nodular goitre caused by thyroid hyperplasia is a benign condition arising from abnormalities in thyroid gland physiology, resulting from an imbalance between thyroid-stimulating hormone, thyrotropin-releasing hormone, and the follicular epithelium of the thyroid gland. The histopathological characteristics of this hyperplasia can resemble well-differentiated follicular carcinoma of the thyroid. Here, we present the case of a 66-year-old man with clinicopathological features suggestive of follicular carcinoma with extrathyroidal extension.
