Tuberculosis is a common disease in India but even then Primary tuberculosis of Thyroid gland is an extremely rare clinical scenario. Diagnosis of this rare disease requires very high level of clinical suspicion as the clinical features have no distinct characteristics and usually mimic with bacterial thyroiditis, thyrotoxicosis, thyroid carcinoma, lymphoma etc. Historically most of patients were diagnosed through histopathology in post operative thyroidectomy specimens.

Allergic fungal rhinosinusitis is a non-invasive disease most commonly found in immunocompetent host. Reporting the first successful treatment with oral Isavuconazole as primary antifungal agent following debridement, in an immunocompromised adult male with acute invasive fungal sinusitis involving multiple simultaneous fungal species. His comorbidities were retroviral and COVID infections, uncontrolled diabetes, ketoacidosis, and renal failure. A two-year follow-up revealed no recurrence.

Exploring the effects of electron donor (D) and acceptor (A) functional groups in tuning the condensed state properties has been a challenging yet efficient approach to reveal promising materials for cutting-edge applications. Herein, a series of boron-nitrogen (BN) incorporated organic congeners (NBNMe2, NBOMe, NBF, NBCl, NBBr, NBCN, NBPy) appended with functional groups having various degrees of D/A characteristics were developed and their potential in controlling supramolecular assembly and condensed state luminescence features (>90 nm redshift in ) was explored.
