Background: Human Lung Carcinoma (LC) is among the most diagnosed cancers across the world among those non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) comprises about 85%. Next Generation Sequencing based detection of mutations are now well established in molecular oncology. With the advent of modern diagnostic methods, it is now well known that there are several mutations and gene rearrangements which are associated with the development of LC.

Doxorubicin, a widely used anthracycline antibiotic, has been a cornerstone in cancer chemotherapy since the 1960s. In addition to doxorubicin, anthracycline chemotherapy medications include daunorubicin, idarubicin, and epirubicin. For many years, doxorubicin has been the chemotherapy drug of choice for treating a broad variety of cancers.

Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) as a marker of kidney function is important in health and disease management because decreased kidney function is associated with all-cause and cardiovascular mortality, progression of kidney disease, predisposition to acute kidney injury (AKI), and for drug dosage modification. While measured glomerular filtration rate (mGFR) is acknowledged as the most accurate method for evaluating kidney function, it is at present not feasible to be applied in the clinical arena. Estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) is preferred due to its convenience, cost-effectiveness, and seamless integration into standard clinical practice for kidney function evaluation.

In this study, data on pedigree, production traits for 19 years (2002-2022) of Salem Black goat from the Mecheri Sheep Research Station, Tamil Nadu, India was used. Various growth traits viz., birth weight (BW), weaning weight (WW), 6-month weight (6W), 9-month weight (9W), 12-month weight (YW), pre- and post-weaning average daily gain (ADG) (3-6, 6-9, 9-12 and 3-12 months) were analyzed.

Background: Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer worldwide in females. This occurs primarily due to the infection of high-risk Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), although in advanced stages it requires support from host cellular factors. BRN3A is one such host cellular factors, whose expression remains high in cervical cancers and upregulates tumorigenic HPV gene expression.

Nanobodies or variable antigen-binding domains (VH) derived from heavy chain-only antibodies (HcAb) occurring in the Camelidae family offer certain superior physicochemical characteristics like enhanced stability, solubility, and low immunogenicity compared to conventional antibodies. Their efficient antigen-binding capabilities make them a preferred choice for next-generation small biologics. In the present work, we design an anti-SARS-CoV-2 bi-paratopic nanobody drug conjugate by screening a nanobody database.

Quinoline is a highly privileged scaffold with significant pharmacological potential. Introducing a carbonyl group into the quinoline ring generates a quinolone ring, which exhibits promising biological properties. Incorporating a carboxamide linkage at different positions within the quinoline and quinolone frameworks has proven an effective strategy for enhancing pharmacological properties, particularly anticancer potency.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a degenerative neurological disorder defined by the formation of β-amyloid (Aβ) plaques and neurofibrillary tangles within the brain. Current pharmacological treatments for AD only provide symptomatic relief, and there is a lack of definitive disease-modifying therapies. Chemical chaperones, such as 4-Phenylbutyric acid (4PBA) and Tauroursodeoxycholic acid, have shown neuroprotective effects in animal and cell culture models.

The fate and degradation of organic matter in aquatic systems is a vital link in nutrient cycling and sedimentation processes influenced by exogenous and endogenous factors, such as inputs from upstream sources, sediment suspension, and the decomposition of aquatic organisms. The interplay of organic carbon, microbes, and environmental factors shapes the distribution and degradation of organic matter. Characterizing the source distribution of sedimentary organic matter in aquatic systems using novel proxies can unravel new insights into the mechanisms that control its dispersal, preservation and fate, which is essential to understanding the global carbon and nitrogen cycles.

The atmospheric dicarboxylic acids (DCAs) have a significant impact on the climate and indirectly affect human health, making them important organic substances. PM bound DCAs were analysed for Jorhat, India, 2019. In addition to the temporal variability, seasonal variation throughout the year and the impact of varying meteorological factors on DCAs concentration have also been studied.

Background: With the expiration of patents for multiple biotherapeutics, biosimilars are gaining traction globally as cost-effective alternatives to the original products. Glycosylation, a critical quality attribute, makes glycosimilarity assessment pivotal for biosimilar development. Given the complexity of glycoanalytical profiles, assessing glycosimilarity is nontrivial.

Background: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are associated with a multifactorial complicated aetiology that is often coexisting and has a strong and distinct connection with cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). In order to accomplish effective and appropriate therapeutic strategies, a deeper understanding of the bidirectional interaction between NAFLD patients, NAFLD patients with T2DM, and NAFLD patients with CVDs is required to control the concomitant rise in prevalence of these conditions worldwide. This article also aims to shed light on the epidemiology and mechanisms behind the relationship between T2DM, NAFLD and the related cardiovascular consequences.

Background: Litter size in mice is an important fitness and economic feature that is controlled by several genes and influenced by non-genetic factors too. High positive selection pressure in each generation for Litter size at birth (LSB), resulted in the development of high and low prolific lines of inbred Swiss albino mice (SAM). Despite uniform management conditions, these lines showed variability in LSB across the generation.

EEG involves recording electrical activity generated by the brain through electrodes placed on the scalp. Imagined speech classification has emerged as an essential area of research in brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). Despite significant advances, accurately classifying imagined speech signals remains challenging due to their complex and non-stationary nature.
