Purpose: In prostate cancer patients, high radiation doses to the urethra have been associated with an increased risk of severe genitourinary toxicity following dose-escalated radiotherapy. Urethra-sparing techniques have emerged as a promising approach to reduce urinary toxicity. This international survey aims to evaluate current global practices in urethra-sparing and explore future directions for the implementation of this technique in external beam radiotherapy (EBRT) for prostate cancer.

Climate change poses significant challenges to global food security by altering precipitation patterns and increasing the frequency of extreme weather events such as droughts, heatwaves, and floods. These phenomena directly affect agricultural productivity, leading to lower crop yields and economic losses for farmers. This study leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) techniques to predict crop yields and assess the impacts of climate change on agriculture, providing a novel approach to understanding complex interactions between climatic and agronomic factors.

Surgically remediable epilepsy of the eloquent brain poses the added challenge of preserving function while curing disease. Long-standing epileptogenic lesions have tenacious seizure networks and significant functional reorganizations. Large multilobar lesions may involve multiple functional areas, thereby challenging the limits of functional brain mapping.

Introduction Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) is an autosomal recessive disorder primarily caused by 21-hydroxylase enzyme deficiency, impairing cortisol synthesis and resulting in elevated androgen levels. CAH presents in two classical forms: salt-wasting (SW) and simple virilizing (SV). Although CAH is rare in India, regional variations and the absence of a national newborn screening (NBS) program pose significant challenges to accurate diagnosis.

Introduction: Brain arteriovenous malformations (AVM) are complex vascular pathologies with a significant risk of hemorrhage. Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) is an effective treatment modality for AVM, initially popularized on the Gamma Knife (Elekta AB, Stockholm, Sweden) platform, and now benefits from the modern advances in linear accelerator (LINAC)-based platforms. This study evaluates the outcomes of LINAC-based SRS/hypofractionated stereotactic radiotherapy (hFSRT) for cerebral AVMs.

Pre-sternal keloids are a distinct clinicopathological entity differing in many ways from keloids occurring elsewhere, as there are differences in pathogenesis, clinical presentation, and management. We have reviewed commonly used assessment scales like the Vancouver Scar Scale, the Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale, and the Detroit Keloid Scale and identified some shortcomings in applying them in assessing pre-sternal keloids. Therefore, we developed the AIIMS Bhopal pre-sternal keloid scale (ABPSKS), a pre-sternal keloid-specific tool to enable the assessment of the severity of the disease, the efficacy of treatment, and the comparison of outcomes of different treatment modalities.

Lumbar canal stenosis (LCS) is a common cause of chronic lower back pain in the elderly. Traditionally, open decompression surgery has a prolonged recovery, higher blood loss, and more complications. As a result, there remains no clear consensus on which of these minimally invasive spine surgery (MISS) techniques, including unilateral biportal endoscopy (UBE) and full endoscopy (FE), is the optimal technique for LCS treatment.

Hydatidosis is an infection caused by the helminth . The liver and lungs are the most frequently affected organs, primarily due to their roles in filtering blood. Primary hydatidosis of the skeletal muscles is an exceedingly rare condition, often asymptomatic, which can lead to its misdiagnosis as a more common soft tissue tumour.

Fungi and their natural products, like secondary metabolites, have gained a huge demand in the last decade due to their increasing applications in healthcare, environmental cleanup, and biotechnology-based industries. The fungi produce these secondary metabolites (SMs) during the different phases of their growth, which are categorized into terpenoids, alkaloids, polyketides, and non-ribosomal peptides. These SMs exhibit significant biological activity, which contributes to the formulation of novel pharmaceuticals, biopesticides, and environmental bioremediation agents.

The broken spatial inversion symmetry results in high Berry curvature at and valleys of the hexagonal Brillouin zone in this semiconducting system. The consideration of excitonic quasiparticles within the approximation along with their scattering processes using the many-body Bethe-Salpeter equation gives rise to an optical gap of 1.

Isatin (1-indole-2,3-dione) and its derivatives have been found to exhibit various biological activities, including anticancer and antidiabetic properties. In this study, a series of nine isatin-1,2,3-triazole conjugates were synthesized and evaluated for their anti-inflammatory potential experiments. Their synthesis involved the propargylation of isatin 1 with propargyl bromide to obtain -propargyl isatin 2, which was subjected to click reactions with different aromatic azides to yield isatin--1,2,3-triazoles (3a-i).

Electrical performances of a biphenyl-derived amido Schiff base ligand L and its dinuclear Al(iii) complex (complex 1) were investigated in a metal-semiconductor (MS) junction. Electrical studies revealed that complex 1 significantly enhanced the electrical conductivity and improved the characteristics of a Schottky barrier diode (SBD). The - characteristics demonstrated that complexation of ligand L with Al(iii) ion increased the conductivity by two orders of magnitude (conductivity of L = 1.

Pyrazinamide (PZA) is a key first-line antituberculosis drug that plays an important role in eradicating persister (TB) bacilli and shortening the duration of tuberculosis treatment. However, PZA-resistance is on the rise, particularly among persons with multidrug-resistant (MDR) tuberculosis. This nationwide study was conducted to explore the prevalence of mutations conferring PZA resistance, catalogue mutation diversity, investigate the associations of PZA resistance with specific lineages, examine co-resistance to 13 first- and second-line drugs, and evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of sequencing A and D genes for predicting PZA resistance.
