Background: Thymoquinone (TQ) is found in the seeds of Nigella sativa. It has immunomodulatory, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, astringent, antifungal, and antihistaminic properties, making it a highly valuable compound of interest. However, the use of it as a therapeutic drug is highly challenging because of its poor solubility, low bioavailability, and short-term stability.

Background: Thin Film Transistors (TFTs) are increasingly prevalent electrical components in display products, ranging from smartphones to diagonal flat panel TVs. The limitations in existing TFT technologies, such as high-temperature processing, carrier mobility, lower ON/OFF ratio, device mobility, and thermal stability, result in the search for new semiconductor materials with superior properties.
Objective: The main objective of this present work is to fabrícate the efficient Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube Thin Film Transistor (TFT) for flat panel display.

Introduction: The earlier detection of cervical cancer in women patients can save human life. This article proposes a novel methodology for detecting abnormal cervigram images from healthy cervigram images and segments the cancer regions in the abnormal cervigram images using the deep learning method. The conventional deep learning architecture has been modified into the proposed CervixNet architecture to improve the cervical cancer detection rate.

The theoretical study of instabilities, thermal fluctuations, and topological defects in the crystal-rotator-I-rotator-II (X-R-R) phase transitions of -alkanes has been conducted. First, we examine the nature of the R-R phase transition in nanoconfined alkanes. We propose that under confined conditions, the presence of quenched random orientational disorder makes the R phase unstable.

Low-energy photoredox catalysis has gained significant attention in developing organic transformations due to its ability to achieve high penetration depth and minimum health risks. Herein, we disclose a red-light ( = 640 nm)-mediated C-3 formylation of indoles utilizing a helical carbenium ion as a photocatalyst and 2,2-dimethoxy-,-dimethylethanamine as a formylating source. These protocols exhibit a broad substrate scope under mild conditions with efficient scalability for the synthesis of C-3 formylated indoles.

-β, β-β' trifused porphyrins incorporating two distinct active methylene groups (MN = malononitrile and IND = 1,3-indanedione) and their corresponding metal complexes with Cu(II) and Zn(II) have been synthesized with good to excellent yields and characterized by various spectroscopic techniques and spectrometric methods. Single crystal X-ray analysis of the Zn(II) complex ZnTFPMB(MN) (where TFP = trifused porphyrin and MB = mono benzo) revealed a nonplanar 'armchair' type conformation with a twist angle of 24.10°.

For managing peri-implantitis, a variety of treatment modalities involving both surgical and nonsurgical methods including implantoplasty have been proposed. Implants that are placed in a free fibula flap are more prone to peri-implantitis due to the absence of firm, keratinized mucosa. Prosthetic design that offers adequate hygiene access should be designed whenever possible; otherwise, it may lead to the accumulation of plaque or biofilm that may lead to peri-implant diseases.

Unlabelled: Iron deficiency anaemia (IDA) makes an individual prone to bacterial infections. The antimicrobial defence mechanism of neutrophils is orchestrated by Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate Hydrogen (NADPH) oxidative burst which is iron-dependent. The few previous studies documenting a decrease in neutrophil oxidative burst in iron-deficient children have been based mainly on the Nitro blue tetrazolium test (NBT).
