Customized nano-biocatalysts of laccase have been made using nano-structured polyaniline viz. nano-fibers and nano-tubes, as immobilization supports and a simultaneous comparison between them has been made. Laccases are poly-phenol oxidases having tremendous utility concerning wider areas of application especially in the field of organic and drug syntheses.

Background: The 1-3-7 approach to eliminate malaria was first implemented in China in 2012. It has since been expanded to multiple countries, but no systematic review has examined the evidence for its use. A systematic review was conducted aiming to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the strategy and identify key challenges and variations in its implementation across different countries.

Background: Examining trajectories of undernutrition and overnutrition separately limits understanding of the double burden of malnutrition. We investigated transitions between normal, stunting, overweight and concurrent stunting and overweight (CSO) and associations with sociodemographic factors in children and adolescents.
Methods: We used data from the Young Lives cohort in India, Peru and Vietnam, which follow children 1-15 (N = 5413) and 8-22 years (N = 2225) over five rounds between 2002 and 2016.

Introduction: This cross-sectional study aimed to examine differences in yoga practices to enhance the validity and comparability of yoga research findings. It addresses the "black-box" approach to yoga interventions by highlighting various delivery components that can impact the validity of outcomes. By moving away from the generalization of yoga outcomes, this study provides deeper insights into yoga practices across culturally diverse populations.

Background About 35% of the global child deaths and 11% of the total disease burden are due to inadequate nutrition. While in India, 1 in 3 children are underweight and stunted, and 1 in 5 children are wasted. Methods Using multivariate and descriptive statistical analysis, we examined the prevalence, determinants of minimum diet diversity failure (MDDF) and trends of MDDF across different regions of India among children aged 6-23 months.

The study aims to explore the relationship between green funding, green energy, and energy efficiency in E7 countries, guided by the SDG-7 guidelines recommended by the United Nations General Assembly. Methodologically, the study employs the Nonlinear Autoregressive Distributed Lag (NARDL) and Two-Stage Least Squares (2SLS) techniques on data collected between 1988 and 2022. The rationale for this approach lies in its ability to capture both short-term and long-term dynamics in the relationship between green funding, green energy, and energy efficiency.

Background: Children's growth is increasingly considered a key mediator of later life outcomes. When examining weight growth, the correlation between repeated observations on the same subject must be regarded as well-modelled. This study aimed to analyze children's weight growth variations and associated factors in Ethiopia, India, Peru, and Vietnam using a fractional polynomial mixed-effects model.

Introduction: There are no published data on the long-term impact of invasive group B disease (iGBS) on economic costs or health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in low-income and middle-income countries. We assessed the impact of iGBS on healthcare utilisation, costs and HRQoL in Argentina, India, Kenya, Mozambique and South Africa.
Methods: Inpatient and outpatient visits, out-of-pocket (OOP) healthcare payments in the 12 months before study enrolment, and health-state utility of children and caregivers (using the EuroQol 5-Dimensions-3-Level) were collected from iGBS survivors and an unexposed cohort matched on site, age at recruitment and sex.

: The prevalence rate of hyperuricemia (HU) is comparatively higher in Asian countries than in the Western regions. Patients with coexisting HU and hypertension (HTN) are at greater risk of uncontrolled HTN, metabolic syndrome, and complications. This study aims to determine the prevalence of HU in individuals with HTN from the major geographical regions across India.

Canine distemper virus (CDV) is a highly contagious virus that affects domestic and wild animals, causing severe illness with high mortality rates. Rapid monitoring and sequencing can provide valuable information about circulating CDV strains, which may foster effective vaccination strategies and the successful integration of these into conservation programs. During two site visits in Bangladesh in 2023, we tested a mobile, deployable genomic surveillance setup to explore the genetic diversity and phylogenetic patterns of locally circulating CDV strains.

Targeted drug delivery (TDD) is a method of delivering optimum concentrations of pharmaceutical substances in the tissue to achieve the desired therapeutic effect. Hence, TDD systems are considered as an emerging strategy to deliver the drug at the specific site of the tissues/cells. The nanoparticle-protein corona as a drug delivery vehicle has demonstrated immense benefits including potential theragnostic, improved pharmacodynamics and targeted drug delivery.

Introduction: Multimorbidity has emerged as a major healthcare challenge in low/middle-income countries (LMICs) such as India and Brazil. Life course epidemiology suggests that adverse events in early life contribute to an individual's later health in adulthood. However, little is known about the influence of early life health and social factors on the development of multimorbidity in adulthood in LMICs.

A new series of N-aryl-4-(1,3-diaryl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)thiazol-2-amine, (8a-x) have been synthesized by a cyclo-condensation reaction of 2-bromo-1-(1,3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)ethanone (6a-f) with N-aryl thiourea, (7a-d). The structure of newly synthesized N-aryl-4-(1,3-diaryl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)thiazol-2-amine, (8a-x) derivatives was analyzed by H NMR, C NMR and Mass spectral analysis. The compounds 8a-x were screened for in vitro antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger.

Shraddha Walkar's horrific murder has rekindled the urgent issue of domestic violence and violence against women in India [1]. With women's bodies often becoming part of a larger ideological and political narrative, Walkar's brutal murder was given a communal turn due to the interfaith nature of the relationship. The most visible manifestation of this was the attack by members of the Hindu Sena on the accused, Aaftab, while being taken from the forensic lab to Tihar jail [2], in the name of "protecting their women".
