Transcription factor binding sites (TFBSs) are critical in regulating gene expression. Precisely locating TFBSs can reveal the mechanisms of action of different transcription factors in gene transcription. Various deep learning methods have been proposed to predict TFBS; however, these models often need help demonstrating ideal performance under limited data conditions.

Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has been extensively employed across clinical and research fields, but often exhibits sensitivity to site effects arising from non-biological variations such as differences in field strength and scanner vendors. Numerous retrospective MRI harmonization techniques have demonstrated encouraging outcomes in reducing the site effects at image level. However, existing methods generally suffer from high computational requirements and limited generalizability, restricting their applicability to unseen MRIs.

Background: There has been no research investigating susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI) radiomics features in evaluating molecular makers in gliomas. The aim of this study was to assess the predictive value of radiomics features extracted from structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC), and SWI in determining World Health Organization (WHO) Grade, isocitrate dehydrogenase () mutation, and oxygen 6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) promoter methylation in patients with diffuse gliomas.
Methods: Retrospective MRI data of 539 patients from University of California San Francisco and Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital between January 2010 and December 2022 were analyzed in this study.

Objective: Anti-melanoma differentiation-associated gene 5-positive dermatomyositis-associated interstitial lung disease (MDA5DM-ILD) often leads to acute respiratory failure and endangers lives. This study quantitatively analysed chest high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) images to assess MDA5DM-ILD and establish a risk prediction model for severe ILD within six months.
Methods: We developed a 'Standardized Threshold Ratio Analysis & Distribution' (STRAD) to analyse lung HRCT images.

Aims: This study aimed to explore the correlation between radiomics features of pericoronary adipose tissue (PCAT) and gene expression in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD), with the goal of identifying novel imaging biomarkers for evaluating CAD.
Methods: Between November 2021 and May 2022, data were collected from 60 patients diagnosed with CAD who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA). Samples of PCAT, three additional adipose tissue types, and peripheral venous blood were analysed.

Radiotherapy is widely used as an effective non-surgical strategy to control malignant tumors. However, recurrence is one of common causes of treatment failure even after the effective radiotherapy. In this study, we focused on the effects of radiation-induced exosomal miR-21 on the tumor microenvironment to investigate the causes of recurrence.

The relationships of the gut microbiota-inflammation-brain axis in depressive bipolar disorder (BD) remains under-elaborated. Sixty-five unmedicated depressive patients with BD II and 58 controls (HCs) were prospectively enrolled. Resting-state functional MRI data of static and dynamic amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation (ALFF) was measured, and abnormal ALFF masks were subsequently set as regions of interest to calculate whole-brain static functional connectivity (sFC) and dynamic functional connectivity (dFC).

Conventional microscopes, which rely on multiple objective lenses for varying magnifications, are bulky, complex, and costly, making them difficult to integrate into compact devices. They require frequent manual adjustments, complicating the imaging process and increasing maintenance burdens. This paper explores the potential of single ultrathin graphene metalens to address this issue.

Background: While magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) remains the gold standard for morphological imaging, its ability to differentiate between tumor tissue and treatment-induced changes on the cellular level is insufficient. Notably, glioma cells, particularly glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), demonstrate overexpression of chemokine receptor-4 (CXCR4). This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of non-invasive Ga-Cixafor™ PET/CT as a tool to improve diagnostic accuracy in patients with high-grade glioma.

The overall aim of the present study was to determine if exposure to three high volume plastic additives, including diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP), bisphenol A (BPA) and benzotriazoles (BT), have the potential to promote adverse effects in Atlantic cod (G. morhua). Ex vivo precision cut - liver slices (PCLS) from six male juvenile Atlantic cod were exposed to four concentrations of mono-(2-ethylhexyl)-phthalate (MEHP, the main metabolite of DEHP), BPA and BT both singly and in mixtures ranging from 0.

Chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) MRI has become increasingly utilized for detecting dilute labile protons and characterizing microenvironment properties. However, the CEST MRI effect is only a few percent, and there is a need for a systematic approach to optimize scan parameters for sensitive and accurate CEST quantification. We propose multi-dimensional adjustments of key parameters such as the repetition time (TR) and RF duty cycle to optimize CEST MRI sensitivity per unit of time and utilization of quasi-steady-state (QUASS) reconstruction to recover the full CEST effect during postprocessing.
