Functionalization of FeO@SiO@SBA-3 with double-charged 3-chloropropyltrimethoxysilane (CPTMS) and 2-aminophenol, followed by mechanical mixing of the solid product with copper(i) chloride produces a new, greener and efficient FeO@SiO@SBA-3@2-ATP-Cu catalyst for the synthesis of 5-substituted 1-tetrazoles. XRD, SEM, atomic absorption, TGA, N adsorption-desorption, and VSM analyses were performed for the characterization of the FeO@SiO@SBA-3@2-ATP-Cu structure. Nitrogen adsorption-desorption analysis revealed that FeO@SiO@SBA-3@2-ATP-Cu has a surface area of 242 m g and a total pore volume of 55.

Waste recycling, novel and easy methods of recycling catalysts, use of green solvents, use of selective catalysts and preventing the production of by-products are the most important principles of green chemistry and modern technology. Therefore, in this work, biochar nanoparticles (B-NPs) were synthesized by the pyrolysis of chicken manure as a novel method for waste recycling. Subsequently, the B-NPs were magnetized by Fe(0) nanoparticles to improve the easy recovery of biochar.

Recyclable and inexpensive catalysts, waste regeneration, use of available and safe solvents are important principles of green chemistry. Therefore, in this project, biochar nanoparticles (BNPs) were synthesized by the pyrolysis method from chicken manure. Then, 3-(sulfamic acid)-propyltriethoxysilane (SAPES) was immobilized on the surface of BNPs (SAPES@BNPs).

A novel, efficient, and recyclable mesoporous FeO@SiO@SBA-3@CPTMS@Arg-Cu nanocatalyst was synthesized by grafting l-arginine (with the ability to coordinate with Cu) onto a mixed phase of a magnetic mesoporous SBA-3 support. The catalyst was characterized using several techniques, including Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, N adsorption-desorption analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis, and atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The resulting solid material possessed a surface area of 145 m g and a total pore volume of 34 cm g.

The ketogenic diet (KD) is recognized as minimum carbohydrate and maximum fat intakes, which leads to ketosis stimulation, a state that is thought to metabolize fat more than carbohydrates for energy supply. KD has gained more interest in recent years and is for many purposes, including weight loss and managing serious diseases like type 2 diabetes. On the other hand, many believe that KD has safety issues and are uncertain about the health drawbacks.

In this research, garlic extract (GE)-loaded water-in-oil nanoemulsion was used as a novel preservative and antioxidant in mayonnaise. GE (5%, 10%, 15%, and 25%) as a dispersed phase, olive oil as a continuous phase, and polyglycerol polyricinoleate (PGPR) as a low HLB surfactant, with a constant surfactant/garlic extract ratio (1:1), were used in the formulations of water-in-oil nanoemulsions. The properties of the active nanoemulsion, including droplet size, free radical scavenging capacity, antimicrobial activity against gram-positive ( []), and gram-negative ( []) were evaluated.

The formulation of a novel functional juice, enriched with wheat germ powder and spirulina algae and based on cantaloupe and pear juice, was optimized by D-optimal combined design. Firstly, sensory evaluation was performed by hedonic test to evaluate the organoleptic properties, and organoleptically desirable samples were screened for further experiments. Various chemical experiments including PH, acidity, formalin index, total phenol, flavonoids, antioxidant capacity, mineral contents (Fe, Zn, Ca, P, K, Mg, and Cu), and fatty acids profile were evaluated.

The effects of O/E ratios on the encapsulation efficiency (EE%) of volatile compounds and droplet size of nanoemulsions were studied. The results showed that with increasing in E/O ratio, droplet size increased while EE% decreased so that the droplet size was below 100 nm for all samples and the EE% was almost above 80% for most samples.

Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune inflammatory disease of the central nervous system (CNS) that T cells become autoreactive by recognizing CNS antigens. Both innate and adaptive immune systems are involved in the pathogenesis of MS. In recent years, the impact of innate immune cells on MS pathogenesis has received more attention.

Thus, main factors for performing of this present study are including of: (a) the importance of tomato as an agricultural product and (b) lack of information about reducing waste during tomato processing. In this study, some physical, nutritional, mechanical, and hydrodynamic properties of tomato were measured under standard conditions.
