A mononuclear square-planar Cu complex of (5-methyl-1-pyrazol-3-yl)carbamate, [Cu(CHNO)]·4HO, was synthesized using a one-pot reaction from 5-methyl-3-pyrazolamine and copper(II) acetate in water under ambient conditions. The adsorption of carbon dioxide from air was facilitated by the addition of di-ethano-lamine to the reaction mixture. While di-ethano-lamine is not a component of the final product, it plays a pivotal role in the reaction by creating an alkaline environment, thereby enabling the adsorption of atmos-pheric carbon dioxide.

Ion-flow-stimulated roughening transition is a phenomenon that may prove useful in the hierarchical structuring of nanostructures. In this work, we have investigated theoretically and experimentally the surface texturing of single-crystal and multi-crystalline silicon wafers irradiated using ion-beam flows. In contrast to previous studies, ions had relatively low energies, whereas flow densities were high enough to induce a quasi-liquid state in the upper silicon layers.

Polymorphism of 6-methyluracil, which affects the regulation of lipid peroxidation and wound healing, has been studied by experimental and quantum chemical methods. Two known polymorphic modifications and two new crystalline forms were crystallized and characterized by single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) methods as well as by the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) method and infrared (IR) spectroscopy. The calculations of pairwise interaction energies between molecules and lattice energies in periodic boundary conditions have shown that the polymorphic form used in the pharmaceutical industry and two new forms and , which can be formed due to temperature violations, may be considered as metastable.

We report a theoretical study of the localized spatial magnetization configuration, which is a confined spin configuration of the target skyrmion/hopfion type in an antiferromagnet with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy, and then we solve the particular problem of self-oscillations of such a topological spin texture. Using the energy approach, a self-consistent account of inhomogeneity of the characteristics of the topological magnetic spin texture was carried out. On this basis, the equation of free oscillations of the confined spin configuration magnetization was derived and its quasi-classical solution was found.

Ethanol acts directly on the α7 Nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (α7). Adolescent-binge alcohol exposure (ABAE) produces deleterious consequences during adulthood, and data indicate that the α7 receptor regulates these damaging events. Administration of an α7 Negative Allosteric Modulator (NAM) or the cholinesterase inhibitor galantamine can prophylactically prevent adult consequences of ABAE.

It has recently been shown that the titer of the SARS-CoV-2 virus decreases in a cell culture when the cell suspension is irradiated with electromagnetic waves at a frequency of 95 GHz. We assumed that a frequency range in the gigahertz and sub-terahertz ranges was one of the key aspects in the "tuning" of flickering dipoles in the dispersion interaction process of the surfaces of supramolecular structures. To verify this assumption, the intrinsic thermal radio emission in the gigahertz range of the following nanoparticles was studied: virus-like particles (VLP) of SARS-CoV-2 and rotavirus A, monoclonal antibodies to various RBD epitopes of SARS-CoV-2, interferon-α, antibodies to interferon-γ, humic-fulvic acids, and silver proteinate.
