This article presents new data on the integrated use of colloidal solutions of nanoparticles and low-intensity laser radiation on the biosynthetic activity of the medicinal mushroom . Traditional mycological methods, colloidal solutions of biogenic metals, and unique photobiological methods have also been used. It was found that colloidal solutions of nanoparticles of all metals used increased the growth characteristics of (55-60%), while irradiation of the fungal inoculum with laser light in a medium with nanoparticles reduced the growth activity of mycelia by 12.

This study presents a method for aligning the geometric parameters of images in multi-channel imaging systems based on the application of pre-processing methods, machine learning algorithms, and a calibration setup using an array of orderly markers at the nodes of an imaginary grid. According to the proposed method, one channel of the system is used as a reference. The images from the calibration setup in each channel determine the coordinates of the markers, and the displacements of the marker centers in the system's channels relative to the coordinates of the centers in the reference channel are then determined.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by motor and neuropsychiatric symptoms resulting from the loss of dopamine-producing neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta (SNc). Dopamine transporter scan (DATSCAN), based on single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), is commonly used to evaluate the loss of dopaminergic neurons in the striatum. This work presents the development of an amperometric biosensor for detecting aspartate aminotransferase (AST) activity in biological fluids using a platinum disk electrode as the working transducer. Optimal concentrations of substrates (aspartate, α-ketoglutarate) and the coenzyme (pyridoxal phosphate) were determined to ensure efficient biosensor operation. A semi-permeable poly-m-phenylenediamine membrane was applied to enhance selectivity against electroactive interferents.

Fast barrier-free switching in synthetic antiferromagnets.

We analytically solve the Landau-Lifshitz equations for the collective magnetization dynamics in a synthetic antiferromagnet (SAF) nanoparticle and uncover a regime of barrier-free switching under a short small-amplitude magnetic field pulse applied perpendicular to the SAF plane. We give examples of specific implementations for forming such low-power and ultra-fast switching pulses. For fully optical, resonant, barrier-free SAF switching we estimate the power per write operation to be  pJ, 10-100 times smaller than for conventional quasi-static rotation, which should be attractive for memory applications.

This work presents the development and optimisation of an amperometric biosensor for determining aspartate aminotransferase (AST) activity in blood serum, using glutamate oxidase and platinum disc electrodes. A comprehensive study on the physicochemical properties of gem-fluorinated O-heterocyclic substituents is reported. Systematic additive effects of introducing O- and gem-CF group introduction on acidic properties (pK) of the corresponding carboxylic acids/protonated primary amines were demonstrated. The impact of the O/CF moieties on lipophilicity (LogP) was found to be complex; significant mutual influence of the corresponding polar moieties governed the compound's overall properties in this case.

In this work, the resistance of polylactide-based non-wovens produced by solution blow spinning to environmental factors was investigated. An average contact angle of up to 136° was achieved with an average fiber diameter of 340 nm at the optimal material density and nozzle-substrate distance. When exposed to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, the polylactide non-wovens rapidly lose their hydrophobic properties due to changes in surface morphology resulting from fiber melting.

Impact-oscillatory loading of variable intensity was applied to the VT23M high-strength sheet two-phase titanium alloy in liquid nitrogen. This was carried out to investigate the effect of this loading type on changes in the mechanical properties and structural condition of the alloy upon subsequent static tensioning at normal temperature. Dynamic non-equilibrium process (DNP) realized at a temperature of liquid nitrogen proved to be unable to impair the strength properties of the VT23M titanium alloy compared to room temperature; however, they caused a significant decrease in ductility (down to 16%).

The reaction of cadmium iodide with 3-amino-pyrazole (3-apz) in ethano-lic solution leads to tautomerization of the ligand and the formation of crystals of the title compound, -poly[[di-iodido-cadmium(II)]-bis-(μ-3-amino-1-pyrazole)-κ : ;κ : ], [CdI(CHN)] or [CdI(3-apz)] . Its asymmetric unit consists of a half of a Cd cation, an iodide anion and a 3-apz mol-ecule. The Cd cations are coordinated by two iodide anions and two 3-apz ligands, generating -CdNI octa-hedra, which are linked into chains by pairs of the bridging ligands.

The present study reports on the development, adaptation, and optimization of a novel monoenzyme conductometric biosensor based on a recombinant arginine deiminase (ADI) for the determination of arginine in dietary supplements with a high accuracy of results. Aiming for the highly sensitive determination of arginine in real samples, we studied the effect of parameters of the working buffer solution (its pH, buffer capacity, ionic strength, temperature, and protein concentration) on the sensitivity of the biosensor to arginine. Thus, it was determined that the optimal buffer is a 5 mM phosphate buffer solution with pH 6.
