Objectives: This study aimed to comprehensively assess the weight status, snack consumption, and physical activity levels among primary schoolchildren, with a focus on both rural and urban areas.
Methods: This cross-sectional study surveyed 557 primary schoolchildren aged 6 to 12 years, covering general identification (age, gender), anthropometric measurements (body weight, height, waist, and hip circumference), food patterns (frequency of food consumption), and sports activities.
Results: Using CDC body mass index thresholds, we identified a 25% prevalence of obesity and over 17% for overweight, revealing a significant urban-rural disparity.

This study aimed to explore the relationships between study variables that directly and indirectly affect students' beliefs and academic adaptation. A measurement tool model was used to assess participants' 'academic adjustment' (academic motivation, academic lifestyle, academic achievement), basic psychological needs factors (autonomy, competence, relatedness), beliefs about assessment factors (benefit for learning, fairness), classroom participation, and students' FLP anxiety. Explanatory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were employed to validate the questionnaires.

The increasing usage of smartphones globally necessitates the creation of reliable and valid scales to evaluate their psychological effects, particularly within academic settings such as universities. The current study aimed to identify the factorial structure of the Smartphone Addiction Inventory (SPAI) in the Republic of Yemen. The sample consisted of 1920 university students (1136 males and 784 females).

infection is widespread in 50% of the world's population and is associated with gastric ulcers and related disorders that ultimately culminate in gastric cancer. Levofloxacin-based, or clarithromycin-based, triple therapy is frequently used to inhibit the bacterial urease enzyme for the eradication of . A comprehensive investigation based on the urease inhibitory profiles of antibiotics and their computational implications is lacking in the scientific literature.

Global polls have shown that people in high-income countries generally report being more satisfied with their lives than people in low-income countries. The persistence of this correlation, and its similarity to correlations between income and life satisfaction within countries, could lead to the impression that high levels of life satisfaction can only be achieved in wealthy societies. However, global polls have typically overlooked small-scale, nonindustrialized societies, which can provide an alternative test of the consistency of this relationship.

This study aimed to evaluate the anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties of the methanolic extract of L. in small animal (rats and mice model). The current treatment for febrile conditions often involves the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which can have adverse effects, particularly gastrointestinal ulcers.

Azo dyes make up a major class of dyes that have been widely studied for their diverse applications. In this study, we successfully applied nano-γ-FeO/TiO as a nanocatalyst to improve the photodegradation efficiency of azo dyes (Orange G (OG) dye as a model) from aqueous solution under white light-emitting diode (LED) irradiation. We also investigated the degradation mechanisms and pathways of OG dye as well as the effects of the initial pH value, amount of HO, catalyst dosage, and dye concentration on the degradation processes.

In this work, we consider a model of two microbial species in a chemostat in which one of the competitors can produce a toxin (allelopathic agent) against the other competitor, and is itself inhibited by the substrate. The existence and stability conditions of all steady states of the reduced model in the plane are determined according to the operating parameters. With Michaelis-Menten or Monod growth functions, it is well known that the model can have a unique positive equilibrium which is unstable as long as it exists.

As an Indigenous community of Algeria and the broader Sahel, the Tuareg hold unique ecological knowledge, which might contribute to broader models of place-based climate change impacts. Between January and April 2019, we carried out semi-structured interviews ( = 23) and focus group discussions ( = 3) in five villages of the province of Illizi, Algeria, to document the local Tuareg community's timeline and ecological calendar, both of which are instruments used to understand place-based reports of climate change impacts. The livelihoods of the Tuareg of Illizi are finely tuned to climate variability as reflected in changes reported in the cadence of events in their ecological calendar (marked by cyclical climatic and religious events).

Presently, an important step from basic research to practical applications is synthesizing nanostructured materials. Metal-organic structures, as well as coordination polymers, are a diverse group of materials with a wide range of potential and properties applications. It has been difficult to get these materials into commercial use because of many drawbacks.

Determining student motivation within the context of Learning Analytics is fundamental for academic students to realize their educational goals. We aim to perceive the student's motivation state at a high level of abstraction and act accordingly to deal with motivation issues. We investigate how Model-Driven Engineering paradigms capture the essence of a motivation domain and provide deep automation in stimulating students' tasks.

This paper presents an optimal control scheme for a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) coupled to a wind turbine operating without a position sensor. This sensorless scheme includes two observers: The first observer uses the flux to estimate the speed. However, an increase in the temperature or a degradation of the permanent magnet characteristics will result in a demagnetization of the machine causing a drop in the flux.

In this research, we reported on the formation of highly porous foam SrTiO/NiFeO (STO/NFO) heterostructure by joint solid-state and sol-gel auto-combustion techniques. The colloidal assembly process is discussed based on the weight ratio x (x = 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100 wt %) of NiFeO in the STO/NFO system. We proposed a mechanism describing the highly porous framework formation involving the self-assembly of SrTiO due to the gelation process of the nickel ferrite.

In this research, we claim to join the efforts of practitioners and researchers to provide managerial responses to an unprecedented health crisis such as COVID-19. To do this, we study the concept of 'collective resilience' as a mechanism for responding to crisis in the Tunisian context. The aim of this research is to explain the impact of collective resilience processes on the ability of organizations to withstand crisis.

Background: Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are ubiquitous environmental organic contaminants generated by incomplete combustion of organic materials that are widely distributed in soils.
Objectives: This study represents the first attempt to examine the health toxicity of 16 detected PAHs in contaminated soil, via different exposure pathways to populations in northwestern Algeria.
Methods: The toxicity equivalency quotients (TEQ) of PAHs were evaluated.

This research aims to study a process of steeping in the n-heptane, used for reducing the migration of additives contained initially in toys for babies plasticized with di-octylphtalate (DOP) based on poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) and stabilized with epoxidized sunflower oil (ESO). Two formulations were carried out at different levels of DOP plasticizers (15% and 45%). The migration tests were conducted in the synthetic saliva in the absence and in the presence of α-amylase with or without agitation at 37° C for 1, 3, and 6 h.

Microcystins (MCs) are hepatotoxic cyanotoxins implicated in several incidents of human and animal toxicity. Microcystin-(Lysine, Arginine) or MC-LR is the most toxic and encountered variant of MCs where oxidative stress plays a key role in its toxicity. This study investigated the oxidative damages induced in the liver and heart of Balb/C mice by an intraperitoneal injected acute dose of MC-LR.
