Introduction Non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis (nr-axSpA) is within the spectrum of axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA). The emergence of the nr-axSpA concept, defined by the absence of significant erosive damage to the sacroiliac joints, has prompted numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing the early detection and management of this condition. The aim of the study was to assess the knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to the diagnosis and management of nr-axSpA by rheumatologists in Morocco.

Introduction: Abdominal cocoon syndrome (ACS), or sclerosing encapsulating peritonitis (SEP) is a rare cause of intestinal obstruction in which the bowel and internal abdominal organs are wrapped with a fibrocollagenous cocoon-like encapsulating membrane. While cocooning of the abdomen primarily manifests in individuals undergoing peritoneal dialysis (PD), it has also been reported to occur spontaneously. Remarkably rare, SEP may present with complete mechanical bowel obstruction in select cases.

The consumption of camel milk is gaining popularity in Algeria. This study aimed to determine the concentrations of Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Nickel (Ni) and Mercury (Hg) in camel milk sold in Southeast Algeria and assess the potential health risks associated with its consumption. 120 samples of camel milk were collected from 10 farms located near the roads in the south of Algeria.

Methods: This was a retrospective, cross sectional study from the Kuwait national MS registry. Patients with RMS who received alemtuzumab, cladribine tablets or ocrelizumab as their first DMT for RMS, with ≥2 year of follow up were included.

Innovation in hospital pharmacy: Modeling the installation of automated dispensing systems based on an oncology hospital experience transfer.

Objective: This study explores automated dispensing systems (ADS) implementation in hospitals, focusing on experience transfer between the National Institute of Oncology of Rabat (NIO) and the specialties hospital of Rabat (SHR) to develop a transferable ADS installation and management model.

Method: A retrospective implementation and experience data analysis of 3 years ADS implementation at NIO and a prospective planification for SHR new implementation on 6 months were employed. Data collection included pharmacist team reports, personnel interviews, direct observations, and information system data exports.

A challenging case of endoscopic third ventriculostomy.

Background: Although controversial, endoscopic third ventriculostomy (ETV) in the management of Myelomeningocele and Chiari type II malformation-related hydrocephalous is gaining wider popularity and use. With variable success rates, it can be proposed as a first or second option after shunt malfunction. ETV in post-infectious hydrocephalus may also be considered as an alternative to shunting.

Thyroid autoimmunity in relation to HLA-DRB1 and HLA-DQB1 polymorphism in nonsegmental vitiligo: a cross-sectional-study.

Objectives: Nonsegmental vitiligo (NSV) is frequently associated with thyroid autoimmunity (TAI), however, the immunopathogenic mechanisms of such association remain to be investigated. The aims of this work were to estimate the frequency of TAI and to describe the genetic polymorphism in the human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-DRB1 and -DQB1 loci in TAI susceptibility among patients with NSV.

Patients And Methods: In this cross-sectional study, screening for TAI was performed in 97 Moroccan patients with NSV by measuring antibodies against thyroid peroxidase (TPOAb) and thyroglobulin (TGAb).

Mitral valve masses are uncommon. These tumors and tumor-like lesions may have similar morphological and clinical characteristics, but different outcomes. Unlike valvular tumors, caseous calcification of the mitral annulus (CCMA) is a benign degenerative disorder, commonly misdiagnosed, thus differentiating it from other mitral valve masses is important to avoid unnecessary surgery.

Pneumovesicoscopic Transvesical Ureteric Reimplantation for the Correction of Congenital Lower Ureteric Anomalies in Children: A Regional Arabian Gulf Multicenter Retrospective Experience.

This is a prospective intraoperative study designed to identify the anatomical variations of the EBSLN in relation to the IPC, the superior thyroid pedicle, and the point where the nerve crosses the STA.
