Background: New conduction disturbances are frequent after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). Refining our ability to predict high-grade atrioventricular block (AVB) occurring later than 24 hours after the procedure would be useful in order to select patients eligible for early discharge.
Aims: This study was designed to identify predictors of high-grade AVB occurring between 24 hours and 30 days after TAVI and to develop and validate a predictive risk score.

Background & Aims: A significant number of post fecal immunochemical test (FIT) colonoscopies in European-organized colorectal cancer (CRC) screening programs are performed beyond the recommended 31-day threshold due to overburdened colonoscopy services. We aimed to develop a simple predictive model to stratify CRC risk of FIT+ patients.
Methods: In a cohort of screenees undergoing colonoscopy following a positive (≥20 μg hemoglobin/g feces) OC-sensor FIT result between 2004 and 2019, we derived and validated logistic regression-based models including variables independently associated with CRC and advanced neoplasms.

The main goal for treatment of locally advanced thyroid carcinoma invading the laryngotracheal and esophageal complex, is radical surgical excision and reconstruction of a functional aerodigestive tract. We describe a challenging surgical technique in which a wide laryngotracheal and esophageal defect was functionally reconstructed using a single anterolateral thigh flap. This can represent a good option for a tailored functional reconstruction of extended defects of the aerodigestive tract.

Background: The intrauterine manipulator used during a hysterectomy for endometrial cancer has been suggested as a reason for worsening oncologic outcomes. However, only a few non-randomized retrospective studies have investigated this association.
Primary Objectives: To compare 4-year recurrence-free survival in the group of patients who undergo hysterectomy using an intrauterine manipulator with that of those who undergo hysterectomy without it.

Herpetic gingivostomatitis and anogenital herpes are widely known manifestations of sexually transmitted herpesvirus infections. What is less recognized is the potential causative role of such infections in triggering immune-mediated skin disorders such as guttate psoriasis. We describe the case of a 23-year-old man with an acute episode of guttate psoriasis related to primary herpetic gingivostomatitis.

Background: Pallister-Killian syndrome (PKS) is a rare genetic disorder caused by mosaic tetrasomy of 12p with wide neurological involvement. Intellectual disability, developmental delay, behavioral problems, epilepsy, sleep disturbances, and brain malformations have been described in most individuals, with a broad phenotypic spectrum. This observational study, conducted through brain MRI scan analysis on a cohort of patients with genetically confirmed PKS, aims to systematically investigate the neuroradiological features of this syndrome and identify the possible existence of a typical pattern.

Objectives: The persistence in therapy of rheumatoid arthritis drugs and particularly bDMARD is a limiting factor for their long-term use. The randomized controlled trials (RCTs) may not reflect real-world contexts due to strict inclusion and exclusion criteria. Baricitinib, which targets both JAK1 and JAK2, has been used in Italy for several years.

Background: Complications are frequently reported after hypospadias repair and there is a need to understand the factors that influence their occurrence.
Methods: Data from boys with hypospadias born between 2000 and 2020 were obtained from the International Disorders of Sex Development (I-DSD) Registry. Logistic regressions, fisher's exact tests and spearman's correlation tests were performed on the data to assess associations between clinical factors and complication rates.

Objective: This study aimed to identify the sonographic features of pathologically confirmed onychopapilloma cases.
Methods: High-frequency up to 24 MHz and ultra-high frequency-ultrasound up to 71 MHz examinations were performed and correlated with their clinical and pathologic presentations.
Results: Twenty-two cases met the criteria.

Background: KBG syndrome is caused by haploinsufficiency of and is characterised by macrodontia of upper central incisors, distinctive facial features, short stature, skeletal anomalies, developmental delay, brain malformations and seizures. The central nervous system (CNS) and skeletal features remain poorly defined.
Methods: CNS and/or skeletal imaging were collected from molecularly confirmed individuals with KBG syndrome through an international network.

Background: Dissecting cellulitis (DC) is a rare neutrophilic dermatosis that leads to cicatricial alopecia. Although DC and Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) have similar characteristics, their association remains poorly understood.
Objectives: In this prospective observational study, we used trichoscopy to identify subclinical signs of DC in male patients aged 18 years or older, presenting with HS.

Background: Drug-coated balloons (DCBs) have shown comparable results with drug-eluting stents in small vessel disease (SVD) percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in terms of target vessel revascularization and a reduced incidence of myocardial infarction. However, the relatively high rate of bail-out stenting (BOS) still represents a major drawback of DCB PCI.
Aims: The aim of the study was to investigate the clinical, anatomic, and procedural features predictive of BOS after DCB PCI in SVD.

Introduction: Previous studies demonstrated that the implementation of the Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) guideline-based bundle, consisting of different supportive measures in patients at high risk for acute kidney injury (AKI), might reduce rate and severity of AKI after surgery. However, the effects of the care bundle in broader population of patients undergoing surgery require confirmation.
Methods And Analysis: The BigpAK-2 trial is an international, randomised, controlled, multicentre trial.

Gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a condition which is frequently faced by primary care physicians and gastroenterologists. Improving management of GERD is crucial to maximise both patient care and resource utilization. In fact, the management of patients with GERD is complex and poses several questions to the clinician who faces them in clinical practice.

Objective: The management of vulvar cancer recurrences is complicated by patients' advanced age and comorbidities. Bleomycin-based electrochemotherapy is a potential treatment option in this setting. However, no data on long-term outcomes are available.
